Hugh Jackman Explains How His Decade-Long Feud With Ryan Reynolds Began—And It's Scarlett Johansson's Fault

Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have long kept their fans entertained with their never-ending Twitter feud.

Sometimes it feels like not a day goes by that doesn't also bring a new jab or joke at one or the other's expense.

But where did this conflict begin? What inspired the original beef between these two mega-stars?

In a recent interview with The Daily Beast, Jackman finally told the story.

When asked about the feud's origin, Jackman had to stretch his brain to recall, saying:

"How did it start? ... God, this is a classic sign where your feud has gone too long, where you don't even know why or how it started!"

It turns out Reynolds and Jackson originally started fighting over a third star:

Scarlett Johansson.

Reynolds and Johansson were married from 2008 to 2011. During that time, Reynolds and Jackman were costars in the X-Men prequel Wolverine.

According to Jackman:

"I met him back on 'Wolverine,' and I used to ream him because I was very close friends with Scarlett, and Scarlett had just married Ryan."
"So when he came on set, I was like, 'Hey, you better be on your best behavior here, pal, because I'm watching,' and we started ribbing each other that way... then it all escalated with the 'Deadpool' thing and him calling me out."

Jackman was, of course, referring to Ryan Reynolds' character in the Deadpool movies who repeatedly mocks Jackman's character.

From those humble beginnings, their "feud" continues to this day.

Just this past Monday, Reynolds responded to Jackman's anniversary post by encouraging Jackman's wife of 24 years to:

"Hang in there, Deb"

Despite these flagrant attacks, Jackman told The Daily Beast he's learned that too much hate isn't healthy.

"I've found in the past that it just gets unhealthy if it's more than five hours of obsessing over how to get Ryan Reynolds. But five hours is good and healthy and keeps me strong and ready."

Who knows? Maybe now that Jackman can remember where the fight started, he'll be a step closer to ending the feud for good.

Jackman and Johansson appeared together in the 2006 film The Prestige available here.

Awkward Typo In Elon Musk's Bizarre 'Education Department' Trump Meme Is A Total Self-Own

Billionaire Elon Musk was widely mocked after he celebrated President Donald Trump's executive order to begin to dismantle the Department of Education (DOE) by posting a meme of Trump at the department's grave, only for an awkward misspelling to get all the attention.

Polling indicates that eliminating the Education Department is largely unpopular, with 60% of registered voters opposing the move, according to a Quinnipiac University survey conducted March 6-10. Support stands at 33%, with opposition particularly strong among Democrats—98% oppose it, while just 1% support it.

People Break Down How They Realized An Entire Industry Was A Total Scam

We unfortunately live in a world where scams are on the rise.

Thankfully, some of them are pretty easy to detect, such as an automated call from the IRS telling you a warrant is out for your arrest, or an email claiming to be from Amazon or the USPS asking for your credit card information, only to look closer and see the email address is a yahoo account.
