"He's just Ken," but Ryan Gosling cares deeply about him.

And the Barbiecounterpart has no time for trolls claiming he's "too old" to play the plastic arm piece, pretending they've "cared about Ken this whole time."

In a recent interview with GQ, Gosling opened up about ageist remarks made about the casting of him as Ken.

“It is funny, this kind of clutching-your-pearls idea of, like, #notmyken. Like you ever thought about Ken before this?”

“Everyone was fine with that, for him to have a job that is nothing. But suddenly, it’s like, ‘No, we’ve cared about Ken this whole time.’"
