Ruth Bader Ginsburg Has No Plans To Stop Her Intense Workouts During The Pandemic Because She 'Ain't Having It'

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg may be getting on in her years (she's currently 87), but that certainly hasn't stopped her from pumping iron.

RBG is known on the hill for her daily workout routine.

Even now, with a global pandemic shutting down public life all over the country, her drive to break a sweat cannot be stopped.

Though most facilities have closed, Ginsberg is still using the Supreme Court's private gym, and is being aided by trainer Bryant Johnson. Johnson notes, however, that the pair are maintaining plenty of distance and wiping down all their equipment as they do their "planks, pushups and other exercises."

Johnson told Law360 he might have shut down the gym if not for Ginsberg, saying:

"Everybody's been shut down. The only reason why I didn't shut the justice down is because, hey, she ain't having it. If she wants to train, that's the least that I can do."

Officials have allowed RBG to continue working out after consulting her doctors.

Ginsberg's routine has been titled "The RBG Workout" by Johnson, who described it to Politico as including:

"...a machine bench press, where Ginsburg normally puts up 70 pounds. From there it was leg curls and leg presses, chest flies and lat pull-downs, all on machines, while stretching the muscle groups being exercised in between sets."

Despite having received cancer treatment on four occasions, the notorious RBG is a force of nature.

According to Johnson:

"Her choice is, she doesn't make excuses not to do it. So we find ways to do it."

Twitter, as always, had to give it up for the Supreme Court's most senior justice.

Stay safe, Justice Ginsberg. We're counting on you.
