Celine Dion Fans Up In Arms After 'Rolling Stone' Leaves Her Off List Of Greatest Singers Of All Time

The celebrated singer was notably absent from the magazine's list of the '200 greatest singers of all time.'

Rolling Stone's new list of the 200 greatest singers of all time is out and includes vocal icons such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Sam Cooke and Billie Holiday.

Rolling Stonedid preface the list by stating:

"Before you start scrolling (and commenting), keep in mind that this is the Greatest Singers list, not the Greatest Voices List."
"Talent is impressive; genius is transcendent."
"Sure, many of the people here were born with massive pipes, perfect pitch, and boundless range. Others have rougher, stranger, or more delicate instruments."

They finished:

"In all cases, what mattered most to us was originality, influence, the depth of an artist's catalog, and the breadth of their musical legacy."
"A voice can be gorgeous like Mariah Carey's, rugged like Toots Hibbert's, understated like Willie Nelson's, slippery and sumptuous like D'Angelo's, or bracing like Bob Dylan's."
"But in the end, the singers behind it are here for one reason: They can remake the world just by opening their mouths."

Fans of five-time Grammy winner Celine Dion—who was not on the list—were outraged and took to Twitter to let it be known.

Dion recently shared on Instagram she rescheduled her upcoming spring shows to 2024 and canceled eight of her summer shows as she deals with health problems.

Dion was diagnosed with rare progressive neurological disorder Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) which affects muscles and heightens sensitivity to noise, touch, and emotional distress.

Along with her Grammys, The Power of Love singer has 12 World Music Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards, six American Music Awards and many many others.

We'd say her fans have every right to be up in arms.

Rachel Maddow Blasts Peter Navarro For Inventing 'Expert' Who Inspired Trump's Tariffs Plan

MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow criticized Peter Navarro—the official counselor to President Donald Trump—for inventing an economics expert named Ron Vara in his books to justify his pro-tariffs stance, noting that not only does "Vara" not exist, but that this whole episode explains where Trump got the idea for the tariffs in the first place.

Trump’s tariff crusade has pushed what was a bullish stock market to the brink of bear territory—a 20% drop from recent highs—faster than any president in modern history. If the market closes at that threshold, it would mark the swiftest collapse from bull to bear during a new administration since the S&P 500’s inception in 1957.
