Early this year, right wing provocateur and ally to President Donald Trump—Roger Stone—was sentenced to 40 months in prison for lying to federal investigators and witness tampering.

Trump commuted Stone's sentence, allowing him to escape prison time, and now Stone is returning the favor by amplifying Trump's lie that widespread voter fraud tipped the 2020 election to President-elect Joe Biden.

While Trump's weeks-long Twitter screed against the integrity of American democracy has yielded some wild conspiracy theories, even his paled in comparison to the conspiracy put forth by Stone.

Appearing in an interview for infamous conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, Stone said on Wednesday:

"I just learned of absolute incontrovertible evidence of North Korean boats delivering ballots through a harbor in Maine, the state of Maine. If this checks out, if law enforcement looked into that and it turned out to be true, it would be proof of foreign involvement in the election."

As indicated by Stone's description of the so-called evidence as "incontrovertible," immediately followed with the qualification "If this checks out," Stone is lying.

As Trump's own Justice Department and election security commission confirmed, there is no widespread voter fraud in the United States—especially not enough to undo the results of a presidential election.

Stone's latest conspiracy theory had Twitter users guffawing.

They roundly roasted the conservative rabblerouser.

The outgoing President's final day in office is January 20th.
