Downey Jr. jokingly dragged his costar at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony using quotes from their fellow 'Avengers.'

Chris Hemsworth received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last week, but it was accompanied by quite the roasting from fellow Avenger Robert Downey, Jr.

The Marvel star celebrated his accomplishment on Hollywood Boulevard on Thursday, May 23, and Downey, Jr. was on hand to honor him.

He began his speech by expressing his excitement for Furiosa, which opened the following day.

After pinning it to be "the film of 2024," Downey, Jr. added:

"I'm going to see it three times."
"I want commitments that everyone is going to see it three times — it'll be like 'Barbenheimer-Plus.'"
"I want you to go to one theater and see this film three times instead of three other movies."

The Iron Man star then told the crowd that he wrote all of the "insightful" comments himself before continuing:

"Beyond the cape and the hammer, is a contagious Aussie charm."
"You are a remarkable human being."

He added:

"Chris is a bit daunting to describe. He's very elusive because of the pretty packaging."
"However, upon further inspection, he has a true-blue wit and he has a depth of soul, and it has been my sincere pleasure to know you these many years."
"You keep us Hollywood folks on our toes because you're just the real deal."

Then Downey, Jr. began "the roast," revealing how his Avengers costars described Hemsworth in three words.

"First off, [Jeremy] Renner says 'absurdly annoyingly amazing.'"
"[Mark] Ruffalo came in strong with 'Friend from work.' That's a callback, now I get it."

He continued:

"Scarlett [Johansson] got to the heart of it with 'sensitive leading lady.'"
"Captain America [Chris Evans] calls him 'second-best Chris.'"

Burn.

People on social media were in stitches over the comments made by Hemsworth's fellow Avengers.

And, of course, many expressed their adoration for this Marvel tribe's camaraderie.

Others congratulated Hemsworth on his milestone.

In his own speech, Hemsworth honored his wife Elsa Pataky and shared his gratitude for the sacrifices she made so that his career could be successful.

"The fact [is] that nothing that I do, any of these moments, these special occasions and events, none of it is special without you by my side."
"I love you."
