Ryan Reynolds Just Revealed The 'Deadpool & Wolverine' Popcorn Bucket—And It's Everything

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool
Disney/Marvel

Reynolds shared the hilariously naughty popcorn bucket for the upcoming film on X, remarking that 2024 will be 'the year the War of the Popcorn Buckets began.'

When it comes to popcorn buckets, there's only one that has been more than ... well, a popcorn bucket. That is, of course, the bizarre and weirdly sexual "sand worm" popcorn bucket from Dune: Part Two earlier this year.

But now Deadpool & Wolverine is getting in on the popcorn bucket action, and it just might have Dune: Part Two beat, so to speak.

The titular Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds, revealed the bucket in a video shared on X, formerly Twitter, and it definitely leaves a lasting impression.

The bucket is made to look like Wolverine, but if Wolverine were, say, a blow-up doll. Or kneeling on the other side of a certain kind of hole in the wall, if you will.

The bucket not only features a gaping-mouth opening to eat popcorn out of, but just to really sell the joke, the video adds a trickle of butter down Wolverine's face as if someone just...

Well, you probably get the picture. Ryan Reynolds never met a joke he didn't want to clobber you over the head with, now did he?

Anyway, following on the heels of the Dune: Part Two bucket, which everyone thought looked like a sort of gruesome spin on a certain sex toy, Reynolds wrote in his tweet that the bucket just might start a battle of sorts among blockbuster movies.

“Years from now they will look back at 2024 as when the War of the Popcorn Buckets began."

The popcorn bucket's rather adult design isn't exactly a surprise. It was teased at CinemaCon back in April, where Marvel CEO Kevin Feige said:

“We’ve asked Deadpool to design a popcorn bucket for Deadpool & Wolverine."
"And I don’t want to spoil it, but I will say, there are some movies that inadvertently make crude and rude popcorn buckets, and then there are popcorn buckets designed by Deadpool.”

Mission accomplished.

On X, the Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket definitely made an impression.

Anyway, if you're dying to ram your fist down Wolverine's throat, you'll get your chance when Deadpool & Wolverine and its hilarious popcorn bucket drop at a theater near you July 26. Mark your calendar!

GOP Rep. Ousted From Chairmanship By Trump Calls Out Colleagues For Russian Propaganda In Resurfaced Clip

Speaking to anchor Jake Tapper on CNN last April, Ohio Republican Mike Turner said that Russian propaganda had "infected" the GOP in a clip that has resurfaced after President-elect Donald Trump had him ousted as House Intelligence Committee chair.

At the time, Turner made it clear that his fellow Republicans were parroting Russian propaganda about the war in Ukraine and its relationship with NATO members. That claim came after House Foreign Affairs Committee chair Michael McCaul, who said he thinks "Russian propaganda has made its way into the United States, unfortunately, and it’s infected a good chunk of my party’s base."
