Lynda Carter Teams Up With Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool In Hilarious New Video For Charity

Reynolds is teaming up with Wonder Woman herself, Lynda Carter, to raise money for SickKids Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.

Much like his lovable mercenary character Deadpool, actor Ryan Reynolds seems to be always up to some new venture.

In this case, he teamed up with Lynda Carter, the actor who played Wonder Woman, to raise money for charity. The duo were in a skit to raise awareness and fundraise for SickKids Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.

In the skit, Deadpool and Kidpool appear to have stolen Santa's sleigh to go bring holiday cheer to children at the SickKids Hospital. Deadpool tells Kidpool that they will need help, however.

At this point, Lynda Carter appears to the rescue. (Notably, the skit skirts the edge of potential legality with copyright over anything Wonder Woman and DC comics, but not without calling out the notoriously litigious company.) Carter does get to do her iconic spin that in the show would transform her into Wonder Woman, but instead gets an ugly Christmas sweater.

They all join up, and Kidpool remarks that they will need to untie Santa as the sleigh rides away.

Folks were amused by the tone and word choices for something that is so specifically about children.

Throughout the skit, Reynolds was clearly not allowed, legally, to say "Wonder Woman." Folks found his workaround funny.

Others commented on the "ugly sweater" she wore at the end in lieu of the iconic Wonder Woman costume.

Commenters even came up with a name for the duo.

People cheered on Reynolds and Carter in their fundraising efforts.

People indicated that they would be happy to see more crossovers for charity.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively will be matching all contributions up to $500,000 until Christmas.
