Witherspoon sat down with her 'Big Little Lies' costar to have a chat for 'Vanity Fair,' and had to remind Kidman that her real first name is actually Laura.

Reese Witherspoon reminded us that her real first name was not Reese during a discussion about names with her former Big Little Lies co-star Nicole Kidman.

The Legally Blonde star's real first name is Laura.

Kidman, who seemed to have completely forgotten, dropped her jaw and responded, "That's right."

Meanwhile, the internet was like, "Wait, what???"

The two A-listers sat down to swap anecdotes about their careers and past projects for Vanity Fair and reminisced about working together on Big Little Lies, the 2017 black comedy drama series that ran for two seasons on Max.

The show centered on five women whose lives become intertwined during a murder investigation that rocks an affluent coastal town in Southern California.

While waxing nostalgic about their favorite behind-the-scene moments from the show, Kidman scolded Witherspoon in jest for calling their fellow co-star Laura Dern, "Dern" during production.

When asked why she objected so much, Kidman noted:

"It sounds weird."

“You know why?” Witherspoon said, adding:

“Because my name is Laura, and her name is Laura, and it’s confusing to me. My real name’s Laura Jeanne.”
"So I just get confused, and I call her 'Dern.'"

Witherspoon reiterated, "We can't both be Laura," as she casually brushed her hair behind her ear.

Kidman teased:

"But, she doesn't call you Laura, though."

Witherspoon sighed, defeated by her friend's cheeky observation, and remarked:

"I don't understand your point."
“I don’t like your tone. You’re trying to understand something, so it just makes no sense."

Fans, however, glitched over the whole "Laura" situation.

The interview came after Kidman had already hinted at a possible third season of Big Little Lies when she said there was a "timeline for it" in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The show starred Kidman and Witherspoon alongside Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Zoë Kravitz, Alexander Skarsgård, Adam Scott, James Tupper, and Jeffrey Nordling, and was joined by Meryl Streep in the second season.

The series, based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty, earned eight Emmy nominations across both seasons.
