A kiss with French actor Charlotte Gainsbourg in 'The Almond and the Seahorse' changed the course of Wilson's life.

To quote Oscar Wilde, "Life imitates art far more than art imitates life."

Such is the case for Rebel Wilson.

The Australian actor revealed to The Hollywood Reporterthat an on-screen kiss with The Almond and the Seahorse costar Charlotte Gainsbourg "changed [her] love life completely.

She shared:

"I was so nervous. Charlotte Gainsbourg was the first woman I'd ever kissed."
"I'd never kissed a woman before so I was thinking, 'Oh God, how's that going to go?'"
"Charlotte is so cool and French."

Wilson said that it wasn't her first romantic "situation" with a woman, but she had never kissed a woman.

"I didn't think it was that big of a deal or anything."
"Then, weirdly through kissing her in my professional life, I thought, well, maybe I should do that for real in my personal life and see how it goes, which I did."
"That was in 2021 and then I met Ramona at the end of 2021."

Wilson revealed her relationship with designer Ramona Agruma on Instagram in June.

She captioned her post:

"I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince... but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess."

She added the hashtag #loveislove.

Fans shared their happiness for Wilson.

Wilson credits the new course of her love life to the kiss with Gainsbourg.

"If I hadn't had the experience with Charlotte or the experience with the other woman, I don't know if I would have ever met Ramona."
"Having those experiences opened my heart up to it as a possibility."
"I'm grateful for those two experiences."
"It changed my love life completely."
"It's such an awesome thing."
