Former Formula One Driver Comes Out As Gay With Sweet Photo Of Him And His Partner

Ralf Schumacher came out as gay on Sunday by sharing an image with his partner, Etienne, on Instagram.

Former Formula One driver Ralf Schumacher announced on Instagram Sunday that he is gay.

The famed driver came out publicly by sharing a touching photo of himself with his partner, Etienne, taking in a sunset over the water.


In the caption, Schumacher wrote, "Das schönste im Leben ist wenn man den richtigen Partner an seiner Seite hat mit dem man alles teilen kann 🙏," which translates to:

"The most beautiful thing in life is when you have the right partner by your side with whom you can share everything 🙏."

And his fans couldn't be happier for him.

The six-time grand prix winner's son David from the driver's previous relationship with former model Cora-Caroline Brinkman commented:

“I’m very happy that you’ve finally found someone with whom you can really tell that you feel comfortable and safe, no matter if it’s a man or a woman."
"I’m 100% behind you, Dad, and I wish you all the best!"
"Congratulations!”

Others joined in on the celebration as well, applauding Schumacher for his public post...






...and wishing the happy couple all the best.





In a follow-up post shared on Monday, Schumacher thanked his fans and friends for all of their love and support.

Sharing a photo of the happy couple, he wrote:

"Many thanks for the many congratulations and comments."
"We are very happy and thank you all😊🙏"
