Following news California Governor Gavin Newsom will face a recall election, reality star and former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner has announced her candidacy for the office as a Republican.

Although Jenner is a well-known celebrity, her candidacy was greeted without much enthusiasm by Californians.

One notable diss came from Pose star Billy Porter, who used a self-referential meme to throw some shade.

Other notable LGBTQ celebrities and organizations also encouraged Jenner to drop out of the race.

Many also called Jenner out for her lack of a specific platform, accusing her of being a "grifter."

Jenner may be a member of the LGBTQ community as a transgender woman, but her support for transphobic Republican policies has the rest of her community discouraging her from running.

Twitter was quick to back Porter up with some shade of their own.

If Jenner wants to win the LGBTQ vote in California, she's going to have to do more than simply be famous and rich.
