As with oh so many TikTok trends, the new "Barbie Foot" challenge might not be such a great idea.
This trend taking TikTok by storm originated from a split-second clip at the beginning of the new Barbie trailer in which Margot Robbie steps out of her pink heels while keeping her feet pointed as she places her feet on the ground.
You know, because Barbie can't flatten her feet.
Check out the trailer below.
It's a truly brilliant scene, but that doesn't mean you should try it at home.
But, of course, many have, including Chrissy Teigen.
And several others have given it a shot on TikTok, as well.

But podiatrist Dr. Jodi R. Schoenhaus of Foot, Ankle & Leg Vein Center in Florida is warning trend steppers the challenge "is not without risk."
She explained:
"If someone attempts the pose once or twice, they will likely be ok and produce a great TikTok video."
"However, if attempting the pose and stride over long periods, there are some risks involved. The ankle is unstable, which can lead to ligament sprains and injuries, commonly seen with high heel use."
Dr. Schoenhaus added that attempting the challenge also "places more strain on your low back leading to muscle and spine problems" which can also lead to growth plate injuries in young women.
She recommended we leave the pointing to the professionals.
"To walk on your toes without heels isn't sustainable, and, in fact, the reality in the movie is that Barbie actually has flatfeet, along with 30 per cent of the population."
"Considering we aren't trained ballerinas en pointe, let's keep the fad to movie stars who have props and multiple takes to make it look perfect."
People on social media—aside from the ones participating in the challenge, of course—agreed with Dr. Schoenhaus and added even the professionals risk injury.

But some expressed we should just let the TikTokers have their fun.
There have been far worse challenges, right?

And others noted Margot Robbie had assistance nailing the scene, holding onto a bar while she stepped out of her shoes.

Pointe at your own risk, friends, but remember moderation is key.
You've been warned.
