Plus-Size Kindergarten Teacher Reveals The Blunt Things Her Students Have Said About Her Body
@SueStyleVibes/TikTok

Kids truly say the darnedest things, and whether or not it comes from an innocent place, not everything they say is kind.

Sue of @SueStyleVibes on TikTok identifies as a plus-size kindergarten teacher, and she has shared on her channel all kinds of videos about body positivity, makeup, beauty, and hairy bodies.

But her most popular video series seems to be one she started recently, featuring some of the blunt things her young students have said to her about her body.

Warning for All Videos: photosensitivity and flashing lights

In each of these videos, Sue uses a strobe light effect with a range of colors while she dances around to her own dance party. While dancing, she features a range of statements as text overlaid on the videos.

Here are some gems from the video that started it all:

"You are so furry. Are you turning into my dad?"
"How many babies do you have in your belly?"

Here are some highlights from the second video:

"When I hug you, you feel like home."
"Are you missing a tooth in the front?"

I want to be clear, that I know my students love me. They are 3-5 years old. They say the first thing that comes to their heads most of the time. I’m not offended by their comments. They are curious and trust me. These comments usually lead to discussions about what makes people unique and special. Check out part 1 if you havent already. #educator #kindergarten #kindergartenlife #letstalk #laugh

The third video can be found here, featuring these statements:

"When you are in the middle of the circle, I can't see anyone on the other side."
"You are fat and beautiful like my mom."
"I have to smile when you smile at me. I can't stop smiling."
@suestylevibes

Part 3 … I truly love my students. You really never know what they are going to say. :) #kindergarten #kindergartenlife #youneverknow #laugh #bodypositivity #teacherscanrelate #teachertiktok #educator #ece

Sue captioned the fourth video, with a laugh-crying emoji.

"I'll never run out of material for these."

Part 4. I’ll never run out of material for these. 😂 #educator #educatorlife #whatkidssay #justlaugh #laugh

In the fifth video, some of the kids said:

"I don't know why, but I think you're pretty."
"I can see the top of your head through your hair. Will you be bald soon?"
@suestylevibes

Part 5. Should I do one about what the kindergarteners’ parents have said to me over the years? #kindergarten #educator #education #justlaugh #laugh #techertiktok #teachersgetit #ecesgetit #bodypositivity #bodypositive

Here are a few gems from the sixth video in the ongoing series:

"I think you need a bigger chair."
"My dad thinks you're pretty. He told my mom."

Some TikTokers laughed right along with Sue about the kids' candor.

But some were worried about the potential for bullying.

Sue made clear in her series this was meant to be for fun and humor.

She saw her students' statements more as factual statements rather than attempts at bullying. She explained in the caption of one of her videos these remarks often led to conversations about what made people "different and special."

Sue is a reminder of the patience and grace exhibited by so many teachers and how they can take a potentially embarrassing moment and turn it into a teachable one.

Vance Cites ‘Traffic Violations’ To Help Justify Sending Migrant Dad To El Salvador Prison

Vice President J.D. Vance was criticized after he doubled down on his insistence that a Maryland father who was accidentally deported to an El Salvadorian prison due to an "administrative error" was a criminal, justifying the move—much to the anger of social media users—because the man had "traffic violations" that warranted his removal.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national who arrived in the U.S. in 2012, was labeled a threat in 2019 due to an alleged connection to the MS-13 gang. He spent months in detention before an immigration judge found he had a credible fear of persecution—not from MS-13, but from a rival group, Barrio 18, which he said had been extorting his family.
