Global News/YouTube

Last week, world leaders gathered in Cornwall, England, for the first major international summit in over a year. The G7 summit saw world leaders from Canada, Germany, Japan, and the United States, among others, meet to discuss global issues.

However, the arrival of the leaders was somewhat humorous for the internet as they awkwardly bumped elbows to greet. This was understandable, as the leaders were following pandemic precautions.

And then they took an odd photo that quickly went viral.

As each world leader arrived, they were greeted by United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Once they had all arrived, the group stood and posed for a photograph of all of them together.

The social distancing protocols put in place for the gathering, meant that they had to stand apart for the photo, which makes sense. What didn't make sense was the way they stood awkwardly straight and still.

The photo was shared to the official Twitter account of the President of the United States.

Personally, it made them look like they were on a reality TV dating show, but comparisons were wide and varied.

They were so stiff they might as well have been action figures.

The G7 summit is a meeting of world leaders to work on plans and agreements and set relationships and policies. While much of what happens goes on behind closed doors, some information is reported.

The group has committed to sending one billion doses of vaccine to poorer countries to help fight the global pandemic. The United States and the United Kingdom discussed an issue with the Good Friday Agreement and Brexit. And it's a time for our new President to meet with other world leaders.

But it's also a time for them to look like dorks in unintentionally hilarious photos.

The Group of Seven leaders committed Friday to donating 1 billion doses of coronavirus vaccines, including 500 million from the U.S. #G7Summit

Following the summit, Biden's administration said it was "positive and productive" as the group made commitments to climate change and economic cooperation.

This week is the NATO summit, where Biden will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin for the first time since taking office.

Space Force Commander Fired Over Email Criticizing Vance's Greenland Comments

Vice President J.D. Vance and the wider Trump administration are facing criticism now that Colonel Susan Meyers was removed from her post as commander at Greenland's Pituffik Space Base after breaking with Vance in an email she wrote following his controversial visit to the island territory.

Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, alongside the Faroe Islands, the only other autonomous territory within the Kingdom. Citizens of both Greenland and the Faroe Islands are full citizens of Denmark. As one of the Overseas Countries and Territories of the European Union, Greenland’s citizens are also recognized as EU citizens.

Karoline Leavitt Dragged After Making Mind-Numbing Claim About Trump's Tariffs Reversal

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is getting called out after she attempted to justify President Donald Trump's sudden reversal on his proposed tariffs, telling reporters that his actions make sense because he has a master plan to make the world bend the knee.

Trump declared a full 90-day suspension of all the “reciprocal” tariffs that took effect at midnight April 10—except for those on China—in a dramatic about-face from a president who had long championed his historically high tariff rates as permanent.
