Last Tuesday, a former Florida congressional-candidate, Pamela Keith, filed a petition to have Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz disbarred over his continued support of President Donald Trump's efforts to undermine the 2020 election and American democracy.

Pamela Keith announced the news on Twitter.

Keith, a lawyer herself, states in the petition:

"For the reasons stated herein, Mr. Gaetz engaged in conduct that blatantly violates the standards and norms of lawyers licensed in this state, and should be sanctioned for his conduct, up to and including, disbarment."

She pointed out that this was not the first time that Gaetz has engaged in suspect behavior.

"This is Mr. Gaetz third serious infraction within the last four years."

But she stated that the most important reason that Gaetz should be disbarred is this:

"But Mr. Gaetz's latest transgression is one that truly warrants loss of the right to practice law in the State of Florida. In this latest episode, Mr. Gaetz willingly participated in an act of sedition, and an illegal and immoral effort to disenfranchise millions of American voters."
"I ask that the Bar fully investigate Mr. Gaetz's actions, whether or not they believe themselves to have authority to discipline him at this time, and that the Bar publish its findings with respect to Mr. Gaetz's actions and choices."
"I maintain that no lawyer should act in furtherance of sedition or destruction of the Constitution of the United States."

In the body of the petition, Keith goes on to enumerate evidence of violations of Gaetz's oath of office, abuse of courts, bad faith and lack of candor to a tribunal.

Many thanked Keith for her service.

Others were surprised to find out Gaetz is a lawyer.

And many had other people in Trump-world they hoped would get disbarred.

Whether or not this petition is successful remains to be seen, but if it is, more may soon.

In many ways, we should have all seen the recent election results coming, and chief among the missed signs is how cooked some of Gen Z's brains are.

Though the majority of the age group voted for Kamala Harris, a staggering proportion voted for Donald Trump at a far higher percentage than is typical for the youth vote where Republicans are concerned.

People Describe The Most Unbelievable Coincidences They've Ever Experienced

Coincidence is defined as "a remarkable concurrence—the fact of two or more events or circumstances happening or existing at the same time—of events or circumstances without apparent causal connection."

However, we often don't use the term exactly that way. The requirement of concurrence is often missing in the colloquial usage of "coincidence." We use it more often to mean "something that's not planned or arranged but seems like it is."
