Actor Peter Gallagher had a sweet post-Father's Day and Pride Month message for his daughter that left her teary-eyed.
Kathryn Gallagher is a Tony-nominated performer for her performance as Bella Fox in the Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill.
On Monday, she posted a TikTok video explaining one of the perks of being a "nepo baby"—or "nepotism baby," a term implying that kids of celebrity parents enjoy success thanks to industry connections.
Before she was joined by her father, The O.C. alum Peter Gallagher, Kathryn said:
“I have a lot of people that come up to me and they say, ‘Your dad raised me,’ which is cool ‘cause he also raised me."
"And I like to think that he did a really good job”
The 30-year-old actor continued:
“And it being Pride Month and Father’s Day being yesterday, it occurred to me that some people in our family, our LGBTQIA+ family, maybe haven’t heard it from a father yet this Father’s Day."
“So whether or not he raised you, my dad has something he’d like to say.”

Kathryn then asked her dad if he remembered what he told her when she first came out as a member of the LGBTQIA family.
“First of all, Happy Pride,” he replied, to which she said, “Thank you, dad.”
Gallagher, who shares Kathryn with his wife of 41 years, Paula Harwood, stood facing her and continued with his genuine response:
“I think I said, 'I want you to feel loved, and I want you to have an ally in life.'”
“I want it to be somebody that brings out the best in you, and you bring out the best in them,” he told her as she appeared to be holding back tears.
He added:
"And you're worth it. You deserve to be happy.”
The sweet video ended with Kathryn thanking her dad before he kissed her on the forehead.
They hugged as she turned to the camera and wished everyone "Happy Pride."
The video got everyone feeling all the feels.
