People Break Down Which Things Are Never As Good As People Expect Them To Be

We place expectations on a variety of things that wind up letting us down.

Remember when Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) was released in theaters? We all know what that heavily anticipated movie turned out to be – a critical flop. (Seriously?Aliens?)

Or how about that new restaurant you wanted to try (pre-pandemic) and wound up having the dry heaves after initially drooling over the menu?

And that new job where you realized it was not at all what you signed up for – "Welcome to your first day at Juicy Lucy's – here's your mop and bucket."

To find out the things people were disillusioned by, Redditor CipherShade asked:

"What's never as good as people think it's going to be?"

Working With Wine

"I work in the wine industry and constantly have to disappoint people who want in just because they like to drink wine. There's a common misconception that all we do is drink wine on the job. I wish."

Having Endless Days

"Staying home doing whatever you want. "

"This pandemic put me in my house right before I lost my job and couldn't get back to college because, well, the pandemic. Because of that I've been the past eight months doing anything I want and waking up and sleeping at whatever hours. The goverment is providing unemployed people some money every month so I'm not out of money. I can spend all my days watching series, playing videogames, listening to music. Whatever and yet I feel completely useless and bored.

After some time I won't even do any of these things. I want to do these things as a reward after a long week where I can finally get to watch that one show. I want to produce something worth while, wake up early and tired and having to put up with another day of work. Never thought I was going to miss going to school. Thankfully I'm going to start a long distance college on the course I've always wanted. It's still long distance which is far from ideal but it's something."

Cartoon Network Trolls Homophobes Hard For Melting Down Over Pride Month Fan Art

The cable TV channel Cartoon Network, like most normal people, is celebrating Pride Month this month, and it did so with a post on Instagram that, predictably, has conservatives crying in their Cheerios like a bunch of triggered babies.

The post featured fan art depicting characters from the network's roster of shows over the years waving various LGBTQ+ Pride flags and the like.

White House Dragged After Sharing Doctored Video Of Bar Erupting In Cheers Over Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill'

On Tuesday, the official social media account for the White House tried to drum up support for MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill, but only on right-wing platforms.

Trump Gets U.S. Military Troops To Boo Democrats And 'Fake News' During Alarming Speech

Members of the military stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, erupted in boos when President Donald Trump goaded them during a speech in which he attacked former President Joe Biden, California Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and the "fake news" covering the ongoing protests in L.A. in response to the Trump administration's immigration raids.

The military has a longstanding tradition of remaining nonpartisan so it was striking that those in attendance, many of whom wore military fatigues, booed in the first place.
