People Break Down Which Things Are Apparently Too Much To Ask For

For some reason, it seems like too much to ask people to just put on a mask during a global pandemic and to stop being difficult, but here we are. There are politicians out there who refuse to make sacrifices for the sake of public health, including a certain Georgia congresswoman who referred to Covid-19 measures as "the mark of the beast." So that's where we are right now. Isn't that great?

After Redditor HornyChateau asked the online community, "What, apparently, is too much to ask for?" people shared their observations.

My damn coworkers to show up to their damn shifts on time so I can go home and live my life.

"Using a pair of headphones..."

Using a pair of headphones instead of the phone's speakers while listening to music or taking a phone call in public.

"People not slamming doors..."

People not slamming doors or stomping while walking through the house.

"I work for a multi-billion dollar company..."

To not pee on the toilet seat.

I work for a multi-billion dollar company and almost all office employees have professional degrees but there is still pee on the toilet seats.

"I hate those people."

Don't treat someone else's stuff like garbage. Use a coaster, take your shoes off, be careful with their electronic device, don't use their nice towels to clean up a mess, don't make their life harder because you're a guest in their home. If someone lends their item to you, give it back in the same condition as it was lent.

I'm not a person who thinks stuff is more important than people, but like, whatever you're using of theirs cost them actual money, and they'd probably like to get more use out of it after you're finished. But there really are people who will just wreck your stuff and not even give a damn! They'll act like you're the a-hole for caring. I hate those people.

"We are a family of four..."

For someone to unload the dishwasher. We are a family of four with a friend staying with us. There are 2 other adults in this house, who, instead of unloading the dishwasher, just use dishes from it as needed. And then put the dirty dishes on the counter. It is infuriating.

"I'm so tired..."

Being a proper friend. I'm so tired of putting in all the effort I can to be a good friend, a decent person, and just being cast aside or ignored in the end. I get used up like a tissue.

"My current catchphrase..."

Currently listening to my 5-year-old and 3-year-old screaming at each other. 5-year-old saying "I'll put you in the garbage!" And 3-year-old screaming "Nooooooo! YOU'RE GARBAGE!" At the top of her lungs.

My current catchphrase is "I need a nap."

"Not paying attention..."

Awareness of other people in public spaces. Some people just go into a public space and sprawl.

Not paying attention at the light when it turns green could make somebody behind you late if they have to wait another cycle.

They take up the whole street by walking down it while on their phone not paying attention.

They let their kids run around, unaware or not caring about the fact that bumping into an elderly person could very well hurt them.

Some people have very good reasons to do this, but others, clearly not. I feel like it's gotten worse since COVID, too. A little awareness and respect for the people around you would really help.

"That people actually think..."

That people actually think about the sh!t they're saying and hold themselves to the same standard that they hold everyone else to.

Fox Host Slams Dem For Dropping An F-Bomb After Praising Trump For The Same Thing Just Minutes Earlier

Fox News host Emily Compagno was criticized after she praised Donald Trump's use of the "f-bomb" earlier this week before condemning Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett's use of the same word—on the same episode of her show, no less.

Trump made headlines this week after admonishing Israel and Iran for violating a ceasefire agreement he'd announced on Truth Social. Although he claimed the ceasefire had been "agreed upon," Iran fired at least six missile barrages at Israel after it was supposed to take effect.

State Department Slammed After Requiring Visa Applicants To Make All Social Media Posts Public For Vetting

The State Department is facing harsh criticism after it announced that anyone applying for an F, M, or J nonimmigrant visa will need to disclose all social media profiles from the last five years, requiring that all applicants set their posts to public so they can be properly vetted by its agents.

The agency said the new rules are part of a new screening process aimed at identifying individuals who may pose a threat to U.S. national security. According to the department, failure to comply could result in a denial, and consular officers have been instructed to flag signs of “hostility” toward the U.S.—though the criteria for such determinations remain vague.
