The actor explained to 'Elle' magazine how the death of her makeup artist friend Alexis Vogel caused her to rethink beauty standards.

In an interview published by Elle magazine last week, Pamela Anderson revealed the heartbreaking reason for her recent stripped-down, often makeup-free appearance.

A drastic departure from her signature '90s bombshell look, the actor explained that she embraced the new routine after losing her dear friend and makeup artist Alexis Vogel to breast cancer.

“She was the best."
“And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup.”

People on social media celebrated Anderson's decision to embrace her natural beauty.

Anderson also shared with Elle that her new look has been “freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious too."

"Because I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks, and it’s just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite what everyone’s doing.”

She continued:

“I think we all start looking a little funny when we get older."
“And I’m kind of laughing at myself when I look at the mirror. I go, ‘Wow, this is really...what’s happening to me?’
"It’s a journey.”

But she's definitely content about it.

“I feel rooted for. I feel good. I’m in a good place.”

Trump declared a full 90-day suspension of all the “reciprocal” tariffs that took effect at midnight April 10—except for those on China—in a dramatic about-face from a president who had long championed his historically high tariff rates as permanent.
