It's no wonder Oscar wasn't featured on the friendship episode.
Big Bird has yet to reply, but we hope this doesn't mean the start of an epic fight between two of our favorite Muppets.
Ole Miss freshman Mary Kate Cornett is speaking out about how a salacious rumor amplified by ESPN's Pat McAfee has "ruined" life—and she has a pointed message for McAfee himself.
Cornett says she has been viciously harassed online and in person since McAfee spread a rumor on his show that she slept with her boyfriend's father.
McAfee did not name Cornett when he spread the rumor on his self-titled show in February 2025, but it added fuel to the speculation online, especially after other people in sports media spread it following McAfee's coverage.

In an interview with NBC News, Cornett said that she has gotten death threats and that the scrutiny has "ruined" her life. She told NBC's Tom Llamas:
“Having the entire internet — half of the country — hating you, and calling you disgusting things, telling you to kill yourself, telling you that you’re a horrible person, that you deserve to die. That’s a really hard thing for a girl to go through."
Cornett has since had to move to emergency housing and switch to online courses at Ole Miss for her safety.
Cornett explained that she has no idea how the rumor got started on X.
But posts featuring a grainy video clip along with Cornett's photo and contact information quickly spread like wildfire earlier this year. Some have theorized that AI was used to create images with Cornett's likeness.
Given that X has basically become a platform dedicated to "red pill" culture, which is rife with often violent misogyny, Cornett was, unsurprisingly, quickly on the receiving end of terrifying harassment.
She told Llamas:
“I was having thousands of calls come through, thousands of texts coming through. Calling me a whore, calling me a slut, telling me I deserve to die..."
"All because of an internet rumor that has zero truth to it.”
The harassment even escalated to the point that someone made a phony 911 call to her mother's house.
Cornett delivered a pointed message for McAfee:
“I’m not a public figure you can go talk about on your show to get more views."
The response to Cornett's interview on X has been predictably vile, but some have her back for speaking out.
In a previous interview with The Athletic, Cornett said she is planning to take legal action against McAfee and others.
"I would like people to be held accountable for what they’ve done."
"You’re ruining my life by talking about it on your show for nothing but attention, but here I am staying up until 5 in the morning, every night, throwing up, not eating because I’m so anxious about what’s going to happen for the rest of my life.”
McAfee has yet to respond.
Orange you being too sensitive there, conservatives?
The MAGA cult was in an uproar over a recent juxtaposition of clips from CNN and Fox News' identical coverage of Republican President Donald Trump's announcement of the sweeping global tariffs that sent the U.S. stock market plummeting.
But their gripe wasn't over the news story.
It centered on the President's complexion, which has long been the subject of mockery for appearing orange.
CNN's footage showed Trump appearing more tangerine-tanned while Fox News aired the same press conference showing him slightly drained of color.
As a result, his base accused CNN of manipulating Trump's natural skin by adding an orange filter.
They really dissected the clip.
X user (formerly Twitter) Devin Duke shared the side-by-side clip and observed:
"MAGA influencers are going mad thinking they caught CNN making Trump look more orange."
"Here's a thought, maybe Fox turned down the saturation to make him look less orange. We've seen him look oompa loompa orange in thousands of images."
Others chimed in on the carroty controversy, chalking the hue of Trump's skin tone to different TV color settings.
Others saw what they saw.
What's happening?
Trump's skin color, particularly his face, has been the subject of much fascination over the years.
Many have presumed he uses tanning beds or spray tans to achieve the orangey hue, evidenced by the lightness around his eyes, imprinted by wearing goggles.
According to Fast Company, make-up artist Kriss Blevens theorized that the color came from self-tanner.
Blevens, who has worked on every President since Jimmy Carter, including Trump, noted:
"Because I have done Trump’s makeup several times, I can tell you that, at times, his face looked bronzer than the rest of him, and that was before makeup."
Researcher Tania Woloshyn, who specializes in light therapy, noticed Trump's facial skin tone has changed since his increasing celebrity status during The Apprentice, likely originating from his insecurities.
In a 2018 paper, Woloshyn wrote:
"Trump believes altering his natural skin colour will improve his appearance and, hence, sense of self."
"Trump's skin colour is a target of ridicule of a man obsessed with vanity yet marked by signs of failed masculinity. Not exactly a glowing indictment, but it's pretty relatable honestly!"
Who knew that the color of Trump's face would still be the subject of a major debate in 2025?
The circus is just getting started, folks.
The term "Florida Man" carries certain connotations. Often it involves out-of-control behavior of a criminal variety.
But a 6'5" man testifying about the dangers of the right's war on woke isn't usually what comes to mind.
The legislative director of non-profit Florida For All—a "statewide coalition fighting for an authentic democracy, an accountable justice system, and a fair and inclusive economy where we all have the freedom to live our own version of the American Dream"—recently spoke at a hearing on Florida's 2025 Farm Bill HB651.
Jackson Oberlink told the committee members:
"I am a proud soy boy."
"Soy boy" is a common insult from the incel and alpha male subcultures.

Oberlink continued:
"I am a 6'5" vegetarian, powered almost exclusively by tofu and soy milk. I'm the guy bringing Beyond Burgers to the barbecue."
"And yet, despite what this bill seems to imply, Big Agriculture does not need protection from big scary soy boys like me."
"I mean, look at me. I'm basically the Jolly Green Giant. The free market is supposed to let consumers decide what they want to eat. But apparently Big Ag needs the state government to step in and make sure no one confuses an oat milk latte for cow milk."
Oberlink then addressed the largely conspiracy theory-driven push by untrained, uneducated—in science or medicine—self-described health experts—like the Trump administration's Secretary of Health and Human Services, antivaxxer and conspiracy theorist Robert F Kennedy, Jr.—to ban the use of fluoride in drinking water.

Per the organization's website, Florida For All was established in 2014 as a coalition of six organizations: Florida Rising, Florida Immigrant Coalition, Faith in Florida, Central Florida Jobs with Justice, Dream Defenders, and SEIU.
Florida For All has "built a deep, long-term collaboration with each other across constituencies and geographies. This has given us the collective power to have a higher impact that leverages the long-term strength of our membership, capacities, and leadership toward winning governing power through durable and meaningful community organizing, civic engagement programs, and electoral victories."
The organization is also pushing back hard against the Florida GOP and Republican Governor Ron DeSantis' attempts to weaken the state's child labor laws.
Vice President J.D. Vance was criticized after he doubled down on his insistence that a Maryland father who was accidentally deported to an El Salvadorian prison due to an "administrative error" was a criminal, justifying the move—much to the anger of social media users—because the man had "traffic violations" that warranted his removal.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national who arrived in the U.S. in 2012, was labeled a threat in 2019 due to an alleged connection to the MS-13 gang. He spent months in detention before an immigration judge found he had a credible fear of persecution—not from MS-13, but from a rival group, Barrio 18, which he said had been extorting his family.
Following that ruling, Abrego Garcia was released and reunited with his wife and son, both U.S. citizens. However, without warning, immigration authorities detained and deported him last month. He has consistently denied any affiliation with MS-13.
The Justice Department has since acknowledged that his removal violated a 2019 court order, calling it an error. Nonetheless, officials maintain they still consider him a threat based on the original allegations.
But according to Vance, in conversation with Fox News' Lawrence Jones, the deportation is justified because of Abrego Garcia's prior "traffic violations," suggesting that alone is enough to warrant sending the man to one of the most violent and dangerous prisons in the world:
"There have been a few cases out there where the Democrats and the media say, 'Oh, this person was an innocent father of three,' then you find out that back in 2019 an immigration judge looked at all the evidence, looked at all the data, and concluded that this allegedly innocent person that we sent to El Salvador was actually a member of an MS-13 gang."
"He had also committed some traffic violations. He had not shown up for some court dates. This is not exactly ‘Father of the Year’ here. This is a person that we don’t think should be in our country."

But Vance mischaracterized key facts in the case of Abrego Garcia.
Following a two-day immigration hearing in September 2019, a judge granted Abrego Garcia “withholding of removal” status, determining that he would likely face persecution if returned to El Salvador. That protection legally barred his deportation unless the status was formally rescinded by a judge.
Abrego Garcia, who arrived in the U.S. as an undocumented teenager hoping to reunite with his brother in Maryland, had since built a life in the U.S. He shares a 5-year-old nonverbal son with his wife, a U.S. citizen, and was working full time as a sheet metal apprentice.
According to court documents, he was picking up his son from his grandmother’s home last month when immigration officers detained him, claiming his status had changed. His attorneys say Abrego Garcia has no criminal record in the U.S. or elsewhere.
His wife eventually recognized him in news footage of one of the deportation flights ordered by President Trump under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798—a rarely used law invoked only three other times in history.
Vance was criticized for his remarks.
U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis rejected the Trump administration’s request to reverse her Friday ruling, which mandates that Kilmar Abrego Garcia be returned to the U.S. by Monday night. The Justice Department argued the court had overstepped, claiming the order encroached on President Trump’s exclusive authority over foreign policy.
The case has sparked intense backlash—not just from the judiciary and congressional Democrats, but within the Justice Department itself.
Attorney General Pam Bondi placed DOJ attorney Erez Reuveni on leave after Friday’s hearing, during which he voiced frustration at the department’s unwillingness to offer more information or take concrete steps to comply with the court order and facilitate Abrego Garcia’s return.

Unless you go to a posh restaurant with an excellent reputation, hearing about these horrific unsanitary restaurant examples may really make you want to consult Yelp reviews before trying a new dining establishment.
Maybe taking up cooking at home can be a new and fun hobby after all.
