Oprah Winfrey Speaks Out To Debunk 'Awful' QAnon Rumor That She's Been Arrested For Sex Trafficking

QAnon is known for rumors and conspiracy theories that aren't overly bothered with details like reality or even plausibility.

But their devoted followers aren't overly bothered by common sense or deductive reasoning, so....

QAnon's latest lie about Oprah and sex trafficking is just further proof of that.

For those of you not in the know about this online trolling party, we'll give you a little bit of backstory.

The rumor is that someone who goes by "Q" is a high-ranking government official who anonymously (Get it? QAnon) posts top-secret knowledge on social media sites like the dumpster fire that is the message board 4chan.

This top-secret government intel just so happens to be almost entirely and feverishly pro-Trump, racist, misogynist, homophobic and transphobic—or 4chans claim to fame. From there it oozes onto Twitter, Reddit and other platforms.

Q's posts are popular among the conspiracy theory loving far-right segment of the MAGA crowd.

So what kind of intel are we talking?

Well, apparently Trump is a warrior for freedom and goodness who is single-handedly taking on a ring of pedophiles that secretly run the world. Kennedy tried to expose them and that's why he was killed.

All presidents since Reagan have worked for them up until Trump, who was hand-selected by top military because they knew only HE could stop the secret pedophiles and their dastardly ways. Every piece of negative news you hear about Trump comes directly from this pedophile cabal and is an attempt to smear him, for he is the righteous bringer of truth.

Or something like that.

You may often see WWG1WGA posted by QAnon believers. It stands for "Where we go one, we go all"—a quote QAnon believers hold close to their hearts and attribute to JFK.

It's actually from a Jeff Bridges movie, though... sooo ...

The rumors tend to target celebs who criticize Trump. Or are female. Or have skin darker than a pumpkin spice latte.

In May of last year Tom Hanks was accused of being a pedophile and hitman who had murdered another actor—in reality the actor had committed suicide. They have accused German Chancellor Angela Merkel of being Hitler's granddaughter put in place to continue his work.

And now, well, it's Oprah's turn we guess.

Over the past weekend, Q posted that the COVID-19 virus wasn't the global pandemic we are all being "lead to believe" it is. Instead, it is a "covert U.S. intelligence operation" designed to cover up the arrests of celebrities and politicians involved in a massive pedophilia and sex trafficking group.

One of the celebs named was Oprah Winfrey.

The theory pointed to the fact that she wasn't active in public—because COVID-19—as their only "proof" she had been raided and arrested for sex trafficking that probably involved young children. That claim got her name trending on Twitter.

Imagine her surprise when her staffers explained to her why she was trending.

So, being a woman who made her fortune by talking to people, Ms. Winfrey had zero problems or hesitations when it came to speaking up and shutting those rumors down.

She defended herself from the rumors by posting on Twitter.

The post, which went up at nearly 2 AM, served to prove that she is absolutely not locked up in Guantanamo Bay (where QAnon believers claim this evil syndicate will be placed) or any other prison.

Twitter collectively rolled it's eyes at the ridiculousness of it all.

Well, most of Twitter anyway.

There were a shocking number of people who believe the rumors hold some merit.

We're sure she'll be fine.

She's Oprah, after all.

Still—it's a scary and sobering thought that millions of people can believe you've been arrested for sex trafficking all because of one post on a message board in the underbelly of the internet that is mostly read by people who think Trump is some vigilante-style global savior of man.

Trump's Border Czar Ripped For Hypocrisy After Telling Pope Leo To 'Stay Out Of Politics'

President Donald Trump's border czar Tom Homan was called out for hypocrisy after telling Pope Leo XIV to "stay out of politics" after he clashed with Trump over the widely unpopular war in Iran.

Last week, Pope Leo criticized the war and called on the world "to reject war, especially a war which many people have said is an unjust war, which is continuing to escalate and is not resolving anything."

Dave Chappelle Just Criticized MAGA Politicians For 'Weaponizing' His Anti-Trans Jokes—But He's Not Getting Much Sympathy

Dave Chappelle seems super duper surprised that people took his punchlines exactly as he delivered them. Back in 2021, he carelessly ranted about trans people during his Netflix special The Closer, setting off immediate backlash.

The comedian’s so-called “joke” that kicked off the controversy:

RFK Jr. Turns Heads After Gross Revelation About What He Once Did To A Dead Raccoon On Family Road Trip

A new biography of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. brought another incident with a dead animal to public light just as he was testifying on Capitol Hill this week.

RFK Jr. had previously disclosed his attraction to playing with dead creatures via anecdotes about a dead bear cub, a freezer full of roadkill, and a deceased whale that he or family members shared.
