People Reveal The One Mistake They Made That Ruined A Romantic Relationship

Oops... I think I did it again!

Love can make us all do some stupid and ludicrous things. When we're in the throes of romance, whether it be a perfect relationship or a toxic disaster we all have those moments where we act afool. It's unfortunate when we can place the blame solely on ourselves because of poor judgement. When we look back it can be daunting to see the staggering amount of loss before it even got started just because we weren't thinking.

Redditor u/j__knight638 wanted everyone to fess up to so past deeds that were not some of life's finer moments by asking.... What is the one instance where you f**ked it up with a crush, that you still dwell on to this day?

You tell me....

Giphy

I had a crush on this person for several years but never made a move.

One day we ran into one another in a cafe and after saying hi they looked straight into my eyes and said "hey, how come you and I have never gotten together?"

For some reason out of nervousness and surprise I just said "I dunno," grabbed my drink and left. To this day I don't know if they thought it was sarcasm or just gave up thinking it wasn't worth pursuing someone so brusque and oblivious as me. Salt-Pile

Hear no Evil...

In junior high. Literally the only girl in the class that just acted nicely to people and always smiled, I had a huge crush on her for over a year. Toward the end of our last year in J.H. I passed her in the crowded hall after school, like i had 500 times before, and one of her friends goes "hey x wants to go out with you" and i literally pretended to not hear anything. she starts saying my name to get my attention but my back is turned. I keep acting like I didn't hear anything and walked into the crowd. 15 year old me was dumb enough that day, to fill 10,000 black holes with stupid.

The next year she had moved to a different district and i never saw her again. penny_eater

Shameless.....

I actually got together with her, she was a bit more grown than me, and i was embarrassed about my Star Wars posters and other child stuff in my room. So i never invited her to my home, and she got that wrong and broke up. She thought i was embarrassed of her and didn't want my parents to get to know her. I regret everything. AlfredTButler

The Way of the Samurai....

Age 11. Birthday Party, Summer Crush and Pinata Time. She spun me around and put the blindfold on me. You can guess what happens next.

That Pinata was about to receive a Samurai worthy Strike from Heaven itself. And when the blindfold came off there was blood everywhere. I had struck her on the head. I was honestly traumatized. Nevermind her!

I forgot about it until 20 years later my brother brought it up. In my mind, it was HE who struck her in the head, not me. My mind had developed a reality where it did not accept I had done it and I had to ask other family members to confirm this, to make sure he wasn't just f**king with me. Labamba4you

But it's our history....

Giphy

Accidentally sent him a screenshot of our conversation. Every time I think about it I want to die. 69creative_person69

I did this last summer. She was friends with my cousin and we had a great night out. I was talking to my brother about it the next day and he couldn't remember what she looked like (they've met before) and he doesn't have Facebook. So, of course, I sent her a screenshot of her own Facebook profile picture...

I want to jump out my office window just thinking about it. WHAT DID MY ANCESTORS DO TO BRING THIS SHAME UPON THEIR SEED!!! erlydecision

I'm not a tissue...

Was hanging out in spring and I had a little bit of hay fever. At one point we just stared into each others eye and I sneezed all over her face like there was snot on her. She was grossed out but once I got all my snot off her she laughed about it she did get her revenge a few days later. daibz

Too Soon?

I confessed WAY too early :// I could tell he was into me but I think I got overconfident and confessed too early and weirded him out and he rejected me. We still good friends now tho so it's cool. I have a strict 10 date policy. Don't reveal the murders until the 7th date, don't reveal the lasagna-making elves in your basement till the 8th date, don't reveal the bodies under your floorboards until the 9th date, and only ask him if he wants to join the bodies under the floorboards on the 10th date. denatured_enzyme_

But I was tired!

My first crush went to prom with me and late that night (or morning) when I was dropping her off, she kept asking if I wanted to go in and watch a movie and that her parents were away for the weekend. I kept telling her it was late but she kept insisting. Anyways I told her it was late and I was tired. I still cringe at that moment. Whenever I'm back home now and my old high school friends and I meet up, they still give me crap for it. frostyaznguy

The Hot Mess....

Crush invited himself over, we hit it off and talked for 5 hours straight. He then asked if he could sleep over.

My bedroom was literally so messy that I couldn't have anyone in. I was in the middle of moving a lot of stuff out of my place. Boxes on boxes everywhere, used clothes and random objects all over my bed.

So I said my room was too messy and booked him an Uber home.

I realize how this may have sounded like a fake excuse/that I wasn't interested. Hahaha tamagobb

Turn around bright eyes...

This was in high school. I sat behind him and had the feeling all day long he was gonna ask me out. Plus some of my female classmates told me they heard from their friends of friends of friends that he would in whatever period it was this incident happened in.

Anyway, he turned around when the bell rang and out of nervousness I blurted out "turn back the f**k around." ...and he did. And never turned back around...

I can laugh about it now but at the time, NOBODY asked me out. Not even for prom. He was a well liked guy so others sided with him and called me all sorts of names haha. luck008

MAGA Podcaster Goes Viral After Admitting What His 'Breaking Point' With The Trump Administration Finally Was

Comedian-turned-MAGA bro podcaster Andrew Schulz has gone viral after sharing during a conversation on The Brilliant Idiots with Charlamagne Tha God that ongoing ICE raids were his "breaking point" with President Donald Trump and that liberals were right about the threat Trump poses to democracy in the U.S.

Schulz previously played a significant role platforming Trump, who appeared as a guest on the Flagrant podcast in October 2024 during his presidential campaign, an episode that racked up 9.6 million views and sparked backlash against Schulz, who was branded by some as “a right-wing MAGA lunatic.”

Melania Ripped After Using Event With Freed Israeli Hostages To Promote Her New Documentary

First Lady Melania Trump was criticized after she used an event at the White House with freed Israeli hostages to promote her new documentary Melania, which follows her in the 20 days leading up to President Donald Trump’s second inauguration following the 2024 presidential election.

Amazon MGM paid $40 million for the distribution rights and reportedly poured another $35 million into marketing. The film beat box office predictions to earn more than $7 million over the weekend but will need to generate much more box office to break even.

Philly Woman Goes Viral With Her Totally Chill Reaction To Her Car Being Completely Frozen In Ice

While the Northeast battled winter weather, the internet was captivated by a Philly-based TikToker documenting how her car turned into what she jokingly described as a Snowmaggedon popsicle.

Last week, Tianna Graham shoveled out her 2016 Honda Civic and drove out after a snowstorm, took it to work, and parked it in the same spot she’d left it before: next to a water main. By the time she returned, her vehicle was completely encased in ice on the 1000 block of North Front Street in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood.

Dad Sparks Heated Debate After 'Nice Note' He Left For Wife And Kids Before Work Trip Sets Her Off

When a person becomes a parent, much more will change in their life than they anticipated.

But that transition can be especially hard when a person feels like they're losing themselves to their role as a mom or dad—and that feeling is made even worse when their partner hyper-fixates on their new role.
