'My Big Fat Fabulous Life': Where to Buy 'No Body Shaming at Sea' 2018 cruise Tickets

Having been forced to deal with public and online criticism about her weight, Whitney Way Thore, star of My Big Fat Fabulous Life, has used her recognition to speak out against body shaming. She’s done so at length on the TLC production but has also taken her message onto the open ocean with the "No Body Shaming at Sea" (No BS at Sea) cruise.

In 2016, the cruise started off modest, stopping at Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic, Grand Turk in Turks and Caicos, and Nassau in the Bahamas. Coming off the success of the maiden voyage, "No BS at Sea" came back in 2017 and stopped at Belize, Mexico, and Honduras. On March 19, 2018, Whitney - along with friends Buddy Bell and Heather Sykes - announced their presence on the 2018 cruise, scheduled to launch on Nov. 11 and return on Nov. 18.

In an Instagram post, Whitney writes: “Y’all are always saying you wish you could hang out with us and… you can!” The post then goes on to reveal that the My Big Fat Fabulous Life star wouldn’t be taking to the high-seas alone. Joining her during the 2018 cruise will be her parents, Babs and Glenn, her brother Hunter, friend and co-star Tal Fish, fellow dancer Todd Beasley, and, of course, Heather, and Buddy. Though Buddy wasn’t present in the photo attached to the reveal, he made some modifications to show that he would be joining in the fight for body positivity.

The 2018 cruise is planned to make stops at Falmouth, Jamaica, Cozumel, Mexico, and Labadee, Haiti. Open to the public, the cruise, which is a collaboration between Whitney Thore and Cruises Only, costs a flat rate of $1,198.56 per person to set sail on the Oasis of the Seas Royal Caribbean vessel. Tickets can be purchased on Cruises Only and the official "No BS at Sea" website.

Included in that one-time fee is:

  • A standard cabin
  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • 24-hour complimentary room service
  • Premium coffees and teas
  • Fresh-squeezed orange juice, bottles of sparkling water, and fountain sodas
  • Non-alcoholic cocktails
  • On-shore adventure in Cozumel

Besides experiencing the beauty of the Atlantic, passengers will also get the opportunity to partake in yoga and dance classes and workshops. There will also be several private parties with Whitney and company that are exclusive to No BS at Sea passengers.

Additional packages and travel arrangements are available at an extra cost. Passengers can purchase an upgraded beverage package to include cocktails, beers, spirits, and liqueurs and an internet package for high-speed internet during the cruise. Information on buying flights, travel protection, and hotel accommodations is available on the official "No BS at Sea" website.
