Transcript of His Call With Ukraine President Shows Trump Asked Zelensky for Help Locating 'The Server'

Stranger and stranger.

On Wednesday morning, the White House released the transcript of Trump's July 25th call with President Volodymyr Zelensky (although technically, it's a "memorandum of a telephone conversation and is not a verbatim account of the conversation.")

As reported, the "transcript" does reflect Trump's request that Zelensky investigate the business dealings of former Vice President Joe Biden's son Hunter

“There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great.”

But he also went on to directly ask Zelensky to make efforts to find "the server", saying:

“The server, they say Ukraine has it, I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it.”

People were a little confused which server Trump was referring to.

Hillary Clinton's?

Or the DNC server?

It's perhaps more likely that Trump was referring to the DNC servers hacked by Russia since he mentions CrowdStrike in the sentence before. CrowdStrike was the firm used by Democrats to examine and protect its servers after the Russia hack.

Conspiracy theorists think that CrowdStrike's so-called malicious assessments are a basis for the Russia investigation. For whatever reason, they believe the DNC server ended up in Ukraine. Our president, apparently, among them.

Either way, people were astounded that Trump, as recently as this summer, was still obsessed with "the server" from 2016, especially since House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy chastised House Democrats for proceeding with an impeachment inquiry, accusing them of being obsessed with the 2016 election.

Who's really obsessed with the 2016 election?

Let it go, guys.

Conspiracy Theories That Seem Believable The More You Look Into Them

Conspiracy theories have likely been around as long as human civilization has. They are, at their root, just another form of rumors and gossip.
