Netflix Called Out After Bringing Back 'Titanic' To Stream Following Titan Submersible Tragedy

People called out the tone-deaf timing of the streaming giant's announcement that 'Titanic' would be coming back to the platform.

In case you hadn't heard about the OceanGate Titan submersible tragedy, on Father's day a small submersible vessel carrying five tourists went missing. The vessel was on its way down to see the Titanic ship wreck when it disappeared.

Three days later, Netflix released its July list of shows and movies that will be added to the streaming service.

At that time, it wasn't widely known the Titan had imploded, killing all of its passengers, including the OceanGate CEO.

Now, people are starting to take note of the timing of Netflix bringing back Titanic to the streaming service starting July 1. In addition to this, Celine Dion's hit song from the movie My Heart Will Go On is now back on the charts.

This all seems to be just an amazing or horrible coincidence, depending on how you look at it.

Some people took to social media to call out Netflix for their timing of the addition.

Many others took to social media to poke fun at the timing.

Whether you hate or love the timing of the Netflix addition, it is curious that this is when they decided to add back the movie.
