TikToker Mario Tims, who discovered neighbors were using his electricity while building their new home next door, was praised for his calm handling of the incident.

A man on TikTok was shocked to find his neighbors had been using his electricity to build their new house.

Yeah, that's not exactly the same as borrowing a cup of sugar.

TikToker Mario Tims (@originaltimes4real) first brought up the issue in a 21-second video asking viewers:

"On a scale from one to 10, how mad would you be?"

The video follows a power chord trail from his house to his neighbor's where some countertops were being installed.

In case you were wondering, Tims was at a solid 6.5.

After several viewers expressed that Tims should take action, he posted an update with additional information.

Fortunately for Tims, the builders constructing the house next door were the same who built his own house, so he knew how to reach them.

But when he contacted them, the builder had no idea why the contractors were using Tims' power as they should have been using their own source of energy.

Tims found the independent source of energy and displayed it in his video. The source seemed ready for use, but for some reason, the workers decided to use the TikToker's power instead.

The company responsible for the contractors apologized and urged him to contact the power company to get a quote for any energy expenditures outside of his usual usage. The power company, however, said that Tims was actually using less energy than usual!

In his follow-up, the TikToker also responded to some commenters who suggested he resort to more aggressive ways to handle the situation, telling them:

"You never put hands on someone that's never touched you."

Tims said that he will continue to monitor the situation and will also double-check his electric bill for higher-than-normal usage, but it seems he handled the situation well.

He also claimed that when the new neighbors arrive, he will let them know what happened.

UPDATE: I've been with so many families who experience sickness and death. The thing they've always taught me is "Every minute we spend being mad, is one less minute we spend being happy." #peace #home #homedecor #interiordesign #design #interior #love #homesweethome #decor #realestate #house #architecture #homedesign #art #casa #instagood #decoration #realtor #luxury #photography #interiors #furniture #handmade #style #family #nature #instagram #property #inspiration #lifestyle #realestateagent #happy #love #instagood #like #photooftheday #beautiful #smile #follow #instagram #photography #cute #fashion #picoftheday #life #art #me #style #instadaily #nature #photo #followme #bhfyp #girl #fun #myself #selfie #likeforlikes #beauty #model #instalike #lifestyle #love #life #instagood #motivation #fitness #instagram #fashion #photography #style #like #happy #follow #photooftheday #inspiration #travel #beauty #loveyourself #nature #happiness #model #success #quotes #gym #bhfyp #goals #workout #beautiful #positivevibes #health

Some very wise words to live by.

Hotel Employees Describe The Worst Guests They've Ever Seen

Hospitality industry workers should be commended for providing service with a smile when confronted with annoying and combative customers, which is an unfortunate reality of their jobs.

For whatever reason, many entitled patrons vent their frustrations about unfair company policies on messengers who are just trying to take their food order or check them into their hotel room.

Community Rallies After GOP Cuts Funding For Pizza Parties They Think Are Turning Kids Trans

After the Ellensburg City Council in Washington voted to cut funding for weekly pizza parties for a school LGBTQ+ program over fears it was encouraging kids to become gay and trans—calling it “a target on minors"—the community quickly stepped up to donate more than enough funds.

Launched in 2023, the program was highlighted in the Ellensburg Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Commission’s year-end report and proposed 2025 budget, which advocated for its continuation. The Pizza Klatch attracted an average of 27 students weekly throughout 2024, offering a safe and supportive classroom environment for LGBTQ+ students and their allies, according to supporters.

Fox Host Drops Truth Bomb About Biden's Economy In Mic Drop Clip

Fox News host Jessica Tarlov eloquently broke down the economic legacy of President Joe Biden in just one minute on Fox, noting that while it will no doubt be "complicated," he "oversaw the best recovery" of the G7 countries, which include Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan and the U.S.

Tarlov—perhaps the most prominent Democrat on the network—once again went against the grain, discrediting claims many of her co-hosts have made about the effectiveness of Biden's economic policies.
