Lee Meyer was stopped and cited for numerous traffic violations for letting his Watusi bull, Howdy Doody, ride in a makeshift passenger seat.

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, the Norfolk Police Division in Nebraska responded to an unusual report: a man was seen driving eastbound on 275, and accompanying him in the passenger's seat was a ... Watusi bull?

According to Police Captain Chad Reiman, the officers on the scene had been alerted to a vehicle transporting a cow into town.

Reiman elaborated:

"They thought that it was going to be a calf, something small or something that would actually fit inside the vehicle."

You can watch the video, below:

The vehicle's dimensions were, technically, adequate for the transport of the Watusi bull, albeit in an unconventional manner.

The individual behind the wheel was identified as Lee Meyer from Neligh, while the Watusi bull answered to the name Howdy Doody. The Norfolk Police initiated a standard traffic stop as part of their protocol.

Reiman detailed the outcome, stating:

"The officer wrote him some warnings. There were some citable issues with that situation. The officer chose to write him a warning and ask him to take the animal back home and leave the city."

Both Meyer and Howdy Doody were sent home, ensuring the safety of all parties involved and averting any harm.

Needless to say, this bizarre traffic violation tickled the internet.

In this curious and lighthearted incident, Norfolk law enforcement maintained their duty to uphold traffic regulations while dealing with an unusual passenger and their equally unconventional mode of transportation.

We thank Howdy Doody for our daily dose of laughter.
