After MAGA Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene attempted to insult Crockett's 'fake eyelashes,' the Democratic Rep. responded with a zinger about Greene's 'bleach blonde, bad built, butch body'—and it became an instant classic.

After Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene attempted to insult Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett's "fake eyelashes," Crockett responded with a zinger about Greene's "bleach blonde, bad built, butch body" that inspired social media users to create some catchy tunes.

It all started after tensions flared during a hearing to determine whether Attorney General Merrick Garland could be held in contempt of Congress and diverted the discussion by questioning whether any Democrats on the committee employed Judge Juan Merchan’s daughter.

Merchan is presiding over Donald Trump’s hush money trial, and his impartiality has been a point of attack for Trump and other Republicans due to his daughter's political affiliations.

Crockett, a freshman member of the Oversight Committee, responded:

“Please tell me what that has to do with Merrick Garland?"

Greene lashed out with the following insult:

“I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading."

This comment triggered chaos in the hearing room, with Chairman James Comer struggling to maintain order for nearly an hour. Despite agreeing to strike her words from the record, Greene refused to apologize to Crockett.

But Crockett threw Greene's insult right back at her:

“If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blond, bad-built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?”

You can see Crockett's question below:

The insult quickly went viral on X, formerly Twitter, prompting social media users to create some catchy tunes with Crockett's words as a starting point.

Consider this one from an X user who sang that Greene is "swinging for the fences because God Almighty" and "cries like a baby when she don't get her way."

The videos later caught Crockett's attention—and she loved it.

She shared the video and responded:

"The INTERNET is UNdefeated! This thread is so that all the B6 songs can be consolidated into one space! Someone just sent me the first country song! I must admit I’ve had a number of Bops stuck in my head."

You can see her post below.

She asked people to share their favorites, which they did immediately.

One video sounds like a Motown classic.

Another used the insult to create some electronica.

Another is perfect for the club on a Saturday night.

As does this one.

And this one sounds like something Meghan Thee Stallion would be proud of.

People loved this new trend of course.

After the exchange went viral, Rep. Crockett launched a Crockett Clapback Collection online merch store to raise money for Democratic House candidates.

Kids Can Press, the Canadian publisher behind the beloved Franklin children's books, condemned Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in a statement after he shared an AI-generated image of Franklin the Turtle to justify his attacks on alleged drug-smuggling vessels in the Caribbean.

Hegseth's original meme, which he inexplicably captioned "for your Christmas wish list," features a doctored book cover titled Franklin Targets Narco Terrorists and shows Franklin, the protagonist of the popular Canadian children's book series authored by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark, firing a bazooka from a helicopter at boats in the water below.
