Alright ladies and gentlemen, time for a pop quiz.

The first question is, what do the lyrics...

"And I am telling you..."
"Once there was a way to get back homeward"
"To a deluxe apartment in the sky"

...all have in common?

If you guessed Jennifer Hudson slaying them, you'd be correct!

Earlier this week, ABC ran a celebration special titled Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear's 'All in the Family' and 'The Jeffersons' as a tribute to the writer and producer of the aforementioned groundbreaking sitcoms, Norman Lear.

It was a celebration of laughter, progress and the landmark achievements Lear was able to make in television history.

But it also gave us JHud at her fiercest!

The Grammy and Oscar winner gave us a performance of The Jeffersons theme song and reminded us why she's won those awards.

Let me tell you, she took us to church, or, at the very least, she took us to that deluxe apartment in the sky!

Needless to say, the performance left social media shooketh.

On Twitter, responders were found tweeting:

While Instagram, who didn't want to feel left out of the party, had users posting:

But, what may have been most touching, came from Marla Gibbs' Instragram account.

The former star of the original cast of The Jefferson weighed in with the highest of praise by posting:

But that wasn't the end of it.

Nostalgia was in the air all through the night as the special celebrated Lear's iconic television series. Some users on Twitter were tweeting out sentiments like:

And what may have been most nostalgic, was the connection Kerry Washington was able to feel with her father when she tweeted:

All in all, it seems every part of the evening did what television does best. It made us feel welcome, comfortable and reminded us that even though there might be turmoil within the outside world, there are always laughs and love to be found with our favorite tv families.

In an age where television seems to be trying to be as gritty and challenging as the medium could possibly be, it was a wonderful reminder that television could still be just as challenging while it is making us double over with laughter.

Most importantly, we all now have the summer hype bop we needed for 2019 and not a moment too soon. I officially dub the summer of 2019, The Summer of JHud, Queen of the Deluxe Apartment in the Sky.

John Hinckley Jr. Shares New Message For Jodie Foster 45 Years After Shooting Ronald Reagan To Impress Her

Some Hollywood stories fade with time. The disturbing history connecting Jodie Foster and John Hinckley Jr. is not one of them. For those who don’t know, on March 30, 1981, Hinckley waited outside the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C., where President Ronald Reagan had just addressed 5,000 members of the AFL-CIO.

As Reagan emerged from the hotel, Hinckley fired six shots from a revolver. One bullet ricocheted off Reagan’s limousine and struck him beneath his arm. White House Press Secretary James Brady, police officer Thomas Delahanty and Secret Service agent Timothy McCarthy were also wounded.

Journalist Reveals Just How Much Money Has Been Diverted From National Parks For Trump's Vanity Projects—And People Are Livid

In a series of articles for MacFarlane News and MeidasTouch, videos, and an appearance on CNN, Chief Washington Correspondent for MeidasTouch Scott MacFarlane blew the whistle on MAGA Republican President Donald Trump’s raiding of National Park Service (NPS) funds. Aided by his Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, Trump diverted NPS money to pay for all of his White House and Washington D.C. vanity projects.

Trump’s hand-selected, mostly unwanted and unnecessary White House grounds and National Mall projects—things like a botched reflecting pool resurfacing, golden decor, a helipad, a ballroom, gilded statues, and giant flagpoles—alone took $423 million from major national parks across the country.

Engaged Woman Sparks Theories After Finding Strange Hair Tie Near Her And Fiancé's Home Entryway

Finding out that your partner is cheating doesn't always have to involve accidentally seeing a nefarious text message or walking in on the act. But sometimes, signs of what could be cheating might have a far stranger explanation.

Posting in the "Girl Dinner Diaries" subReddit, Redditor Jack-of-not posted a photo of an open-faced sandwich and explained what she'd discovered:
