Mom Caught on Camera Taking Entire Bowl of Halloween Candy—Then Blames Her Son After She's Called Out

Mom Caught on Camera Taking Entire Bowl of Halloween Candy—Then Blames Her Son After She's Called Out

The woman claimed her son wanted peanut butter M&Ms after being caught on a Ring doorbell cam.

We've all had parent induced anxiety.

Whether you're next up to checkout at the grocery store and suddenly your mom disappears into aisle eight for some oh so necessary toilet paper or your dad wants to show off the latest TikTok dance he learned in front of his friends, we've all been there.

You can then imagine the kind of anxiety and embarrassment one can feel when their mom is caught stealing, or even worse when you are the accomplice to the thievery and had no idea of the crime being committed and then even worse than that, the stolen goods are being blamed on you.

This mom puts the shame in shameless.

We've all skimmed a few sweets off the top when trick or treating on Halloween, but the entire bowl is just overkill. So, when a mom who was trick or treating with what looks to be her son was caught red handed with their hands in several cookie jars, let's just say candy suppliers weren't too happy.

Most families just wanted to enjoy the precious treat of a good time with their kids on Halloween, but this mom instead was determined to engage in as much trickery as she could. However, it seems the only one tricked here was her.

Several doorbell cameras saw the mom in the act of a candy looting, but what she did next was the most unbelievable part. Just as you see the mom shuffling candy into her child's Halloween bucket, you can hear someone from behind the door asking the mother politely to "please leave some for the other kids".

In an attempt to cover her tracks, she replies with "he just wanted some peanut M&Ms" to which the voice behind the door retorts "yeah I know, but you took the whole bin, I saw you on camera." The uneasy mom then puts candy back and tells her Spiderman suit-wearing child to "come on" before walking off.

You can only imagine the embarrassment both her and the child felt. There were a few videos of the bandit surfacing but the most popular by far gaining more than 12.1 million views in a single day, was one where someone finally spoke up to the mom.

Many commenters were shocked at the antics of the mother, with some calling her " mother of the year"—sarcastically of course.

Tiktokers everywhere couldn't quite understand how or why she would stoop so low as to blame our friendly neighborhood Spiderman and there was no running from the public eye.

Numerous cameras captured her sweet tooth that led her down a slippery slope of stealing.

However, there were some that were kind of in favor of the mom, blaming homeowners who used their doorbell cameras to embarrass trick or treaters.

Viewers also pointed out the widespread laziness of homeowners no longer handing out candy and instead sitting and watching from the comforts of their sofas through the cameras attached to their doors.

Were valid points made?

Since when has Halloween become a spectator sport?

As a few TikTokers left us to ponder "why leave the candy outside in the first place?".

Whether you agree the mom should not have blamed her son or the parent was put in a sticky situation by a doorbell camera, we can only hope next Halloween this mom decides to do things a bit differently.

Dem Rep. Expertly Pinpoints Why Republicans Are Dismantling DEI Programs In Mic Drop Rant

Speaking during a House Oversight Committee hearing, Pennsylvania Democratic Representative Summer Lee expertly pinpointed why diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs are being targeted by Republicans nationwide, noting that "remedying past discrimination is not, in turn, a discrimination."

DEI programs are organizational strategies aimed at ensuring fair treatment and full participation for everyone, with a special focus on historically marginalized or discriminated groups. These frameworks strive to create an environment where all individuals, regardless of their identity or abilities, are valued and included.

People Describe The Absolute Best Meal They Ever Ate

I've traveled quite a bit—for work and pleasure—and had some memorable meals along the way.

There was the borscht, pierogies, and sausage at Polish restaurant Mazurka (R.I.P.) on Rue Prince-Arthur in Montreal, Canada. The poutine I sampled across Quebec and the Maritimes. All the fresh breads, doner kebabs, schnitzel, and baked French onion soups I ate while TDY in Germany. The yakisoba, sushi, and seafood curry I had while working for the DoD in Japan.

Gavin Newsom Admits He Has No Idea What A 'Zaddy' Is After Becoming Internet Meme

In the wake of the election, Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom has risen to a new level of fame after he was tapped as the "future of the Democratic Party" in the wake of Kamala Harris's loss.

That of course meant it was only a matter of time before all the internet's young people turned him into a meme. And THAT of course meant it was also only a matter of time before he became an object of people's thirst.

Elon Musk Mocked For Hilariously Wrong Prediction About Matt Gaetz—And Yeah, That Did Not Age Well

After former Florida congressman Matt Gaetz dropped out of contention for President-elect Donald Trump's Attorney General post, a hilariously over the top post from billionaire Elon Musk—who is tapped to lead Trump's "Department" of Government Efficiency—resurfaced that showcases how wrong Musk was about Gaetz's future within the second Trump administration.

Gaetz was previously the subject of a Justice Department investigation into alleged sex trafficking involving a 17-year-old girl and has faced scrutiny from the House Ethics Committee over accusations of sexual misconduct. However, that inquiry effectively concluded last week when Gaetz announced his resignation from Congress.
