Gender reveal parties have surged in popularity in recent years, despite their reception by the general public.

Viewers tend to especially enjoy hate-watching these reveals, specifically for how the parents react to the big news. When one parent doesn't appear to be particularly excited by the reveal results, viewers are quick to judge their commitment to parenthood.

But mother Kendra Evans, who runs a family TikTok account called "Daily Dose of My Girl Gang" starring her four young daughters, argues that "gender disappointment" and "gender grief" are real things, and these valid concerns should be normalized.

Evans recently posted a video of her, her husband, and their three daughters, looking on as a color bomb went off inside of a jack-o-lantern. The gray smoke poured out of the pumpkin's eyes, mouth, and nose, and it gradually turned pink.

At the realization that the smoke was not going to be blue, Evans covered her face before bending down to her knees in tears, mourning the fact that she would never get the boy she was hoping for, since her husband had recently had a vasectomy.

Gender disappointment is real so dont judge us, little did we know our nellie would complete our family & we couldnt be happier to be raising our 4 daughters! Couldnt imagine life without that sweet girl #girlgang #fourdaughters #girlmom #sahm #pumkinhead #thisishalloween #fall #genderreveal #daughters

Fellow TikTokers were deeply divided by the mother's reaction in the video, as comments poured in ranging from empathetic to angry and skeptical, and those disappointed in the opportunity the mother seemed to be missing.

Some TikTokers completely understood where Evans was coming from and shared their own stories.

But others challenged Evans to think about her situation from someone else's perspective who might be less fortunate.

Evans has shared that she has since made peace with the news and was excited to have a beautiful family of girls, sisterhood, and sisterly bonds.

But she also did not want to apologize for the boy she wished she had, and she felt that parents should be more open about what they want and not apologize for the grief they feel when the life they were dreaming of doesn't turn out to be the reality.

Marco Rubio Just Tried To Claim That 'American Citizenship Is Not For Sale'—And Everyone Had The Same Response

Secretary of State Marco Rubio was called out after trying to claim on X that "American citizenship is not for sale," even though the Trump administration offers a route toward citizenship in exchange for a large financial contribution.

Birthright citizenship is a legal concept that grants citizenship automatically at birth. It exists in two forms: ancestry-based citizenship and birthplace-based citizenship. The latter, known as jus soli, a Latin term meaning "right of the soil," grants citizenship based on the location of birth.

John Hinckley Jr. Shares New Message For Jodie Foster 45 Years After Shooting Ronald Reagan To Impress Her

Some Hollywood stories fade with time. The disturbing history connecting Jodie Foster and John Hinckley Jr. is not one of them. For those who don’t know, on March 30, 1981, Hinckley waited outside the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C., where President Ronald Reagan had just addressed 5,000 members of the AFL-CIO.

As Reagan emerged from the hotel, Hinckley fired six shots from a revolver. One bullet ricocheted off Reagan’s limousine and struck him beneath his arm. White House Press Secretary James Brady, police officer Thomas Delahanty and Secret Service agent Timothy McCarthy were also wounded.

Journalist Reveals Just How Much Money Has Been Diverted From National Parks For Trump's Vanity Projects—And People Are Livid

In a series of articles for MacFarlane News and MeidasTouch, videos, and an appearance on CNN, Chief Washington Correspondent for MeidasTouch Scott MacFarlane blew the whistle on MAGA Republican President Donald Trump’s raiding of National Park Service (NPS) funds. Aided by his Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, Trump diverted NPS money to pay for all of his White House and Washington D.C. vanity projects.

Trump’s hand-selected, mostly unwanted and unnecessary White House grounds and National Mall projects—things like a botched reflecting pool resurfacing, golden decor, a helipad, a ballroom, gilded statues, and giant flagpoles—alone took $423 million from major national parks across the country.
