Eric Stonestreet, who you may remember as Cameron Tucker from the seminal sitcom Modern Family, is engaged.

His wife-to-be, Lindsay Schweitzer, and he have been together for five years. Schweitzer is a nurse.

The two met at the Big Slick charity weekend in Kansas City, Missouri.

However, some people decided to focus on a difference between the two instead of their happy news.

Instead of congratulations, they decided to remark on what they think is the gap between the couple.

Stonestreet is 49 years old and Schweitzer is 41—so the age gap is not large enough for Schweitzer to be Stonestreet's daughter despite all the people making that claim online.

As a response, Stonestreet reposted his photo to social media, making sure nobody would say Schweitzer was too young for him to marry again.

Stonestreet wrote, after using a filter to age up his fiancée's photograph:

"Look, she can't help that she looks so great at 42 and I can't help that I apparently look like her grandad [sic] so, I fixed it for everyone."

Congratulations to the happy couple.
