Michigan Wendy's Employee Fired After Being Filmed Taking A Bath In Restaurant's Industrial Sink

Michigan Wendy's Employee Fired After Being Filmed Taking A Bath In Restaurant's Industrial Sink

A young man thought that bathing in an industrial sink in a Wendy's kitchen for a TikTok video would be a good idea.

Wendy's did not agree.

Although it was unclear based on the video if the gentleman soaking himself in the basin intended for washing dishware was an employee, another man wearing a Wendy's uniform can be seen in the 23-second video.

The uniformed employee is seen throwing something into the makeshift bathtub and instructing the bather to:

" Wash yourself!"

Here is a clip of the news report covering the unsanitary incident.

The Daily News reported that the incident took place at the fast food chain location in the 1000 block of North Lafayette Street in Greenville, Michigan.

The TikTok video found its way over onto Conner Somerfield's Facebook page where it went viral and was viewed more than 259,000 times.

The TikTok clip was taken down, but those who viewed it on Facebook found it unappetizing.

Although he appears to be shirtless and his bare knees are exposed, there is no confirmation the young bather was completely nude.

But whether or not he was wearing trousers underneath all the soapy suds is not the point.

While there are off-camera sounds of laughter, the bather can be heard, saying:

"It feels like a hot tub. I'm just enjoying life."

Christian Camp, a spokesperson for Team Schostak—the company that owns the Greenville Wendy's—confirmed to Newsweek that everyone involved in the video were in fact employees and all have been terminated.

"This egregious behavior is completely unacceptable and counter to our safety, training and operational standards."

He added:

"Upon learning of this situation, all employees in the video were terminated immediately and the restaurant has been completely sanitized."

The restaurant reopened on Tuesday after it was thoroughly examined and sanitized for the safety of customers and employees.

"We've taken to the appropriate steps. We've looked at everything that was involved in the said incident to make sure everything is clean—per state regulations, at a minimum—but we try to go as far and above as we can."

Looks like those silly employees are all washed up with no place to go.

"Honestly not that easy finding restaurant employees that look like they know how to bathe." – Goalie_deacon

And yet, according to these Redditors, worse has happened in the back kitchens of restaurants.

"If anything it is MORE sanitary than most things that go on at Wendy's behind the scenes." – Holmesary
"Worked at Wendy's for a few years. Can 107% confirm." – PatacusX
"That's not even the trashiest thing I've done in a kitchen." – psiloryben

So, who's hungry?

Hillary Clinton Just Threw Some Epic Shade At Trump Over His Push To Print $250 Bills Featuring His Portrait

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton mocked President Donald Trump following a report he approved a proposed design featuring his portrait on a new $250 bill bearing his signature, despite longstanding federal law barring living people from appearing on U.S. currency.

According to four current and former Treasury Department employees who spoke to the Post anonymously out of fear of retaliation, two political appointees at the department—U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach and senior adviser Mike Brown—repeatedly pressed Bureau of Engraving and Printing staff beginning last year to develop prototype designs for the bill.

Kathleen Thomas, 36, was pulled over in February by a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputy over an alleged distracted driving violation captured on both Thomas’ phone and police body cam footage.
