As investigations and allegations against former Republican President Donald Trump have continued to mount, many have begun to wonder when, if ever, Trump will finally face repercussions.

If Trump's former attorney and confidante Michael Cohen is to be believed, it may be sooner than most of us think—and Trump will take everyone he can down with him.

As a new criminal investigation encircles the former President, Cohen issued a warning during a television appearance, seen below, to all in Trump's orbit.

Cohen's comments came during an appearance on MSNBC's The Reid Out. He and host Joy Reid discussed New York Attorney General Letitia James' announcement on Tuesday that the state's investigation into the Trump Organization transitioned from a civil to a criminal investigation.

That, according to Cohen, is the last straw for Trump. He said the family patriarch will throw anyone and everyone he can under the bus to try to save himself.

As he put it to Reid:

"I think Donald Trump is going to flip on all of them, including his children... I really believe that Donald Trump cares for only himself, and he realizes that his goose is cooked.

Cohen went on to say he thinks Trump will first blame Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg and others privy to his finances.

But it's when the investigation moves to Trump's taxes Cohen says will be the true clincher.

That's when Trump will turn on his inner circle—including his own flesh and blood.

"He's going to turn on his accountant and point the finger. He's going to say, 'Don Jr. handled that, Ivanka handled that. Melania. Don't take me. Take Melania.' He's going to tell them to take everyone except for himself. That's just the kind of guy he is."

Cohen credited his own involvement in the investigations for the fallout he predicts.

"I do have to say that my credibility, I believe, is going to end up getting Donald, Don Jr., Ivanka, Jared, Eric, Weisselberg, his kids, some orange jumpsuits."

On Twitter, Cohen's comments caused quite a stir.

Cohen—once a part of Trump's inner circle—turned on Trump himself in 2018, including providing taped conversations with Trump to authorities.

Cohen is serving a three-year sentence for his involvement in campaign-finance violations related to Trump's hush-money payments to two of his alleged mistresses.

People Explain What Happened To Significant Others Who Cheated And Then Dated Their Affair Partner
