QAnon Rep. Throws Tantrum After RNC Announces 'Pride Coalition' With Gay Republican Group

Ultra-conservative Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, commonly referred to by her initials "MTG," is on another Twitter rampage over "the gays."

Recently, an LGBTQ+ Republican group known as the Log Cabin Republicans announced a collaboration with the Republican National Convention (RNC), causing far-right Republicans and Evangelical Christians to see red.

The collaboration, called the "RNC Pride Coalition," received praise from the chairperson of the Republican Party, Ronna McDaniel.

McDaniel hailed the coalition as adding a "unique perspective" to the party.

At a recent gala, McDaniel said:

"Conservatives in Log Cabin don't just share our vision for a free, secure and prosperous America—they enrich it by adding unique perspectives to our party and recruiting even more diverse candidates and supporters to join our cause."
"(RNC Pride will) work alongside our other coalition groups to invest in communities and mobilize support for the upcoming midterms."

The Log Cabin Republicans, who helped in the effort to overturn the U.S. military's homophobic Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy, has since changed its image quite a bit.

The group, after being taken over by far-right former U.S. President Donald Trump, has decided that "the struggle for gay rights in America is largely over," and is now turning their attention to Muslim countries while important LGBTQ+ legislation hangs in the balance in the United States.

Not everyone shared McDaniel's excitement about the RNC Pride Coalition, though.

While the Log Cabin Republicans had their priorities skewed by Trump, avid Trump supporters such as Greene are against their collaboration with the RNC because of their anti-LGBTQ+ beliefs.

Thus, Greene—a known conspiracy theorist and QAnon supporter—took to Twitter to whine about the gays and rainbows.

She wrote:

"Using people for their identity is what the Democrats do, not Republicans. This actually hurts the Log Cabin Republicans by grafting their fundraising & weakens their effectiveness."

Greene then decided to school McDaniel on the biblical significance of the rainbow--in which God sent a rainbow to inform Noah he had flooded the world and effectively ended humanity but wouldn't do it again, probably—and bash the LGBTQ+ community for using rainbows as a community symbol.

"And don't forget, @GOPChairwoman the rainbow is God's sign."

Twitter users are rolling their eyes over Greene's latest bigoted tantrum.

Greene isn't the only MAGA minion upset over the RNC Pride Coalition.

Evangelical Christian leader Tony Perkins called for McDaniel to resign from her position as Republican Party chairperson in an interview with radio host Todd Starnes.

Perkins said:

"There's a lot of RNC members in leadership positions that are upset about this because they were not told."
"This is something that Ronna did on her own."

He continued:

"Quite frankly, I think it's time for her to take up something else and leave the party to those who I think can chart a path forward, restore what has been lost, and make sure that the Republicans, the conservatives, regain the majority and continue to see victories and gains across the nation."
"I think she needs to step down. She has outlived her purpose at the RNC."
