Mark Hamill Has Perfect Reaction After Trump Appeared To Fall Asleep At The GOP Convention

The 'Star Wars' star chimed in to mock the Republican National Convention after photos and videos of Trump appearing to be asleep circulated on social media.

Star Wars actor Mark Hamill hilariously admitted to having a shared reaction with former Republican President Donald Trump regarding the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Namely, that it was a certified snoozefest.

The four-day RNC event kicked off on Monday in Milwaukee, where 2,500 delegates gathered and are expected to select the first-ever criminally charged ex-President for a second term in the White House along with his newly-announced running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, in a roll call vote.

The general consensus was that the convention was slow-paced, lacking drama or anything significant to report on.

Hamill, a vocal Trump critic, took to X (formerly Twitter) and posted a photo of himself passed out on a couch juxtaposed with one of Trump counting sheep while in his box seat at the RNC.

Hamill captioned the photos with:

"For once, I'm with him."

He added the hashtag #GOP_Snoozefest followed by sleeping emojis for emphasis.

While the photo of Trump with his eyes closed was presumably taken during a moment of prayer, it didn't stop social media users from joining Hamill in ridiculing Trump for his tendency to fall asleep at public events.

The former President was seen nodding off numerous times at his court appearances for the 2016 election interference trial in New York.

Fans got a kick out of Hamill's persistent mockery of Trump.

Others shared thoughts about the uneventful gathering.

Trump's appearance at the RNC was his first since Saturday's attempted assassination of him at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, during which a bullet grazed his ear.

The shocking incident claimed the life of Corey Comperatore, a husband and father of two daughters, and critically wounded two bystanders who are now in stable condition.

Trump showed up at the RNC with a bandaged ear to a hero's welcome.
