On February 14, 2018, a shooter opened fire on the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Using a semi-automatic assault rifle, the shooter—a student at the school—killed 17 of his peers, injuring another 17 as well.

From the tragic events at Marjory Stoneman emerged the March for Our Lives Movement—a network of young activists for gun law reform and against the powerful influence the National Rifle Association and other gun lobby groups hold on lawmakers in Washington.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), famous for her support of the QAnon delusion that a network of satanic pedophile cannibals secretly controls the government, used the third anniversary of the shooting this week to call for armed guards in every American public school.

Before her election, Greene spewed deranged conspiracy theories that school shootings were secretly coordinated by Democrats to weaken support for the Second Amendment.

A video that resurfaced earlier this year showed Greene harassing prominent Parkland Shooting survivor David Hogg, accusing him of profiting off the deaths of his peers.

And as survivors like Hogg recalled the calamity and carnage unleashed upon their school that day, Greene called for armed guards to be deployed to every school.

Greene pointed to the increased armed guard presence in D.C. since a mob of extremist supporters of former President Donald Trump laid deadly siege upon the U.S. Capitol last month in hopes of overturning the results of the 2020 election and securing another four years of Trump.

The Congresswoman, who was recently stripped of her committee assignments for her delusions, had reached yet another low.

Evidence shows that arming more people in hopes of preventing gun violence doesn't work.

As the Giffords Organization points out:

"Despite what the gun lobby wants you to believe, the truth is that self-defensive gun use is rare, and that guns are many times more likely to be used for suicide or homicide than they are for self defense. In 2018, for every justifiable homicide with a gun, there were 34 gun homicides, 82 gun suicides, and two unintentional gun deaths."

Greene still attempted to push this narrative in a later tweet where she was met with even more backlash.

Greene continues to push for the impeachment of President Joe Biden.

Design For New Commemorative Coin Featuring Trump Just Dropped—And People Can't Believe It's Real

On March 19, the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts (CFA), comprising people appointed by MAGA Republican President Donald Trump, unanimously approved a final design concept proposed for a 24-karat gold United States semiquincentennial commemorative coin.

Instead of featuring the Declaration of Independence or some other images central to the foundation of the nation in 1776 or more universally recognized symbols from the last 250 years, the CFA chose a sketch based on a photo of Trump leaning over the Resolute desk in the Oval Office for the coin's obverse or "heads" side.

Gavin Newsom Said What We're All Thinking About Trump's Decision To Deploy ICE To Airports

After President Donald Trump moved to deploy ICE agents to U.S. airports amid a partial government shutdown that has caused exceptionally long delays at TSA lines nationwide, California Governor Gavin Newsom pointed out exactly why the move is so troubling for citizens and non-citizens alike.

ICE agents are still getting paid during the shutdown, unlike TSA agents, who are currently working unpaid and struggling amid the affordability crisis. News outlets have confirmed ICE agents have been deployed in airports that serve Democratic strongholds, particularly John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia Airports (New York), O'Hare International Airport (Chicago), and others.
