Mandy Moore Shares The Sweetest Message With 'A Walk To Remember' Co-Star Shane West

17 years ago, A Walk to Remember starring Mandy Moore and Shane West premiered, introducing the world to one of pop culture's favorite onscreen romances. Though Moore and West never pursued a relationship offscreen, they've remained friends to this day, as evidenced by an absolutely adorable memory Moore shared with E! News.

Shane, who is now an actor on Gotham, was sitting down for an interview with E! to reminisce about his time shooting the classic romance. He spoke of Moore, now a star of This is Us, saying:

"Mandy was phenomenal and my best friend when we were working on that."

That's when E! decided to surprise the actor with a video message from Moore!

Mandy's message to Shane was short, simple, and very sweet:

"Hi Shane! Happy 17th anniversary—I know we exchanged some Instagram DM's about the big event, but congrats on everything you have going on in your world and let's...like...hang, dude! Let's go get some coffee and catch up, because it's been too long. Like we need a good one-on-one hang. So, um, let's do that! Have a good one!"

Fans were delighted that the pair are still good friends!

And of course, West and Moore's "conversation" had many social media users thinking about their love for their movie.

The small hello reminded Shane of the day Director Adam Shankman took the pair aside and told them:

"Prepare for the rest of your lives to be changed."

The movie would change both of its stars career trajectories forever:

"We hadn't had anything that had been a success like that, so that will probably be on of my favorite memories."

Could there be a better excuse to re-watch A Walk to Remember? I don't think so!

Timothée Chalamet Just Threw Some Blunt Shade At The Oscars—And Fans Think He's Still Salty About Losing Best Actor

When Timothée Chalamet dismissed the opera and ballet as art forms, some people called him out and warned him to say goodbye to his chance at winning an Oscar in 2026.

Not only were they right, but it appears Chalamet is still salty about losing Best Actor for his role in Marty Supreme to Michael B. Jordan for his role in Sinners, despite putting on a brave face and standing to applaud Jordan's win that night.

Video Of Elephant Peeing While Being Led Into Texas Republican Convention Sparks Hilarious Jokes

The elephant has long been the symbol and mascot for the Republican party, so it makes sense that Republicans in Texas led an elephant into the state's GOP convention—they just didn't anticipate that the symbolism would go off the charts when the elephant promptly peed on the floor of the venue.

Attendees at Houston's George R. Brown Convention Center were told to expect a "larger-than-life surprise" following Gov. Greg Abbott's keynote address on Friday, with organizers also reminding the crowd to keep the aisles clear. Moments after Abbott finished speaking, Paige, an African elephant draped in a campaign-style banner, entered the convention hall.

Hilarious Photo Of Entire Plane Watching The NBA Finals Except For One Guy Goes Viral—And Here Come The Jokes

Listen, even if you've never been to New York—even if you don't even care anything about sports whatsoever (like this writer)— you've likely gotten caught up in Knicks fever in recent weeks.

It's hard not to. We all love an underdog story, and waiting 53 years for an NBA championship? Well, the only more-underdog story in sports is probably the Chicago Cubs waiting 109 years to win the World Series in 2016.
