TikToker Maggie Clark was filming as a man jumped off a boat in Puerto Rico, only for a barracuda to come barreling into him.

A viral video on TikTok shows the moment witnesses screamed in terror as they thought a man was being attacked by a massive fish after jumping from a boat off Cayo Icacos Island in Puerto Rico.

TikToker Maggie Clark (@maggieclark719) captured the moment the man gracefully dove and swam away from the boat.

Almost immediately, though, a barracuda swam rapidly in his direction, barreling into him. Laughter and chatter from the boat immediately turned into screams of terror as they watched.

Thankfully, no one—human or barracuda—was injured.

Many couldn't believe what they had just witnessed and shared they had the exact reaction as those on the boat.

Deadly wildfires in Los Angeles County remain largely uncontained, with officials reporting at least five confirmed fatalities so far. However, on Thursday, authorities admitted, “frankly, we don’t know” the true extent of the death toll. Evacuation orders are currently affecting nearly 180,000 residents, as thousands of homes and buildings have been destroyed.
