Maisie Williams Totally Got Everyone With Her April Fools' Prank On 'Jimmy Fallon'

Game of Thrones fever is ramping up to a fever pitch as the show's final season premiere on April 14 draws ever nearer.

A mere two weeks from the finish line, the entire cast and crew of the show are making every effort to keep even the most minuscule plot point under lock and key for fear of slipping on a spoiler.

On The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, however, it certainly seemed like Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, gave away a HUGE plot twist.

There was only one catch: the episode aired on April 1.

Maisie Williams Accidentally Drops a Major Spoiler in Game of Thrones' Final Seasonyoutu.be

In the clip, Williams casually lists several moments that have been crucial to Arya's journey as a character.

Then, when Jimmy begs for some details from the upcoming season, she seems to let out a little more than she intended:

"During shooting, like, the final days were really like emotional, saying goodbye to all the cast. Because, when I found out that Arya died in like the second episode I was like..."

At this point, Williams seems to realize what she's done and covers her mouth in fear, asking if her flub can be edited out.

Jimmy attempts to comfort her, saying it will all be edited out and they can continue with the interview as if nothing happened.

Unfortunately, Williams really does seem overcome by her mistake, and walks off the set without any explanation. Jimmy, concerned, follows her to the curtain, which he pulls back to reveal...APRIL FOOLS!

No spoilers had been revealed after all.

Fans couldn't believe they fell for the prank!

Maisie's acting is what truly sold the joke!

In the age of internet hoaxes, April Fools has become a little less fun than it used to be... until now.

People were amazed that they were still able to be surprised by April Fools jokes...

The prank was all the more emotionally affecting so close to the show's upcoming premiere...

Tim Walz Has Epic Clapback After Nancy Mace Asks Him To Define 'Woman' During Congressional Hearing

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz had a splendid response after South Carolina Republican Representative Nancy Mace attempted to claim that his support for transgender women would bar him from recognizing fraud in his state.

Subsequently, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the FBI expanded their presence in Minnesota as federal authorities froze childcare funding statewide.

Elmo Just Asked His Followers 'Where Have You Been?'—And Zohran Mamdani Had The Purest Response

Elmo, the furry red childlike monster from Sesame Street designed by Caroly Wilcox, began his life as a generic "baby monster" background filler in the 1979-1980 season of the long-running children's television program.

Originally having a gruff voice supplied by various puppeteers, Elmo found his falsetto-voiced, loving persona when Kevin Clash took over in 1985. Elmo was transformed into a three-and-a-half-year-old character designed to connect with the show's audience of preschoolers.
