French President Emmanuel Macron left the internet swooning after his official photographer, Soazig de la Moissonnière, posted photographs of the current President of France.

Macron is in the midst of campaigning for another term in office. The photos were added to Soazig de la Moissonnière's offical Instagram account.

A few of the photographs show Macron at home with his wife, Brigitte Macron, while others show him on the campaign trail where he is met by many supporters.

But the photograph that has captured the internet's attention the most is one of the French leader lounging on a couch with his shirt open.

The public has always had a fascination with attractive world leaders.

In recent weeks, much of the world has been captivated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who has inspired the international community as he has rallied his citizens amid Russian invasion of the country.

Others, however, have developed crushes on Zelenskyy, no doubt aided by the fact that he had a prominent career as an actor and comedian before entering politics.

Macron, known for being among the world's youngest heads of state and long lauded for his style, is no different, and many have openly expressed their admiration.

Others were not as taken with the photograph.

Macron is currently campaigning for another five-year term in office. His popularity has remained high, aided by a largely successful COVID-19 pandemic response. He has stood by remarks he made earlier this year in which he pledged to "piss off" people still unvaccinated against the virus.

Macron has reportedly stabilized his lead over French far right candidate Marine Le Pen, whose policies on the economy, immigration, social welfare, and foreign policy have come under further scrutiny.

Le Pen has sought to rebrand her party in a bid to appeal to more left wing voters.
