It was music's biggest night Sunday for the Grammy Awards—for everyone except Lil Nas X, that is.

The queer hip hop sensation lost all five of his nominations Sunday night, despite having one of the biggest albums and videos of 2021 with the album MONTERO and single of the same name.

And in his trademark hilarious style, Lil Nas X had the perfect "adult" response on Twitter that left fans and his fellow celebrities alike laughing.

First, Lil Nas X declared that he was revoking his own status as a gay icon following his stunning 0 for 5 Grammys loss.

He tweeted:

"can’t believe i lost all my grammys. i am now no longer gay!"

Buuuuuuut he must have dug deep and found a way through the pain and shock, because that whole sexuality thing didn't last long at all. Just moments after redirecting himself toward the straight life, Lil Nas X was back on Twitter ready for some--well, we'll let him tell you himself.

He tweeted:

"i change my mind i want to be slutted out tonight"

Hey, after five losses in a row, he's earned at least that.

But that was just the beginning of Lil Nas X's hilarious pity party.

Before long he was spitting all new bars, composing a song on his Instagram story called "I ain’t win no Grammy" with lyrics like, "I ain't win no Grammys, that sh*t makes me cry."

Awww...

But by this morning, Lil Nas X seemed to have taken it all in stride, tweeting about how his five-time loss only motivates him to do more great work.

And his fans certainly aren't taking the losses seriously. On Twitter, they were out in force laughing right along with Lil Nas X and cheering him on.

If nothing else, Lil Nas X, along with Jack Harlow, gave one of the most instantly iconic performances of the night.

And that surely helped him make some "friends" at the after party, if you know what we mean.

Louisiana Republican Senator Bill Cassidy was widely mocked following his inconvenient slip of the tongue during a CNBC interview as he mused about finding ways to "cut" Medicare before quickly correcting himself.

GOP Senator Gets Blunt Reality Check After Comparing Trump Tariff 'Pain' To Home Renovation

Montana Republican Senator Tim Sheehy was criticized after he tried to compare the "short-term pain" of President Donald Trump's tariffs to home renovation, a claim so ridiculous that CNN's Kaitlan Collins quickly pushed back on the analogy.

Trump has repeatedly referred to April 2 as “Liberation Day,” pledging to impose tariffs—taxes on imports—to reduce U.S. reliance on foreign goods. He has framed these tariffs as “reciprocal,” aiming to match the duties other nations place on American exports.

Liberal Wisconsin Judge Calls Out Elon Musk In Victory Speech—And It's Everything

Liberal judge Susan Crawford called out billionaire Elon Musk in her victory speech after winning a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, basking in successfully beating her Republican opponent Brad Schimel and ensuring that the nonpartisan court’s narrow 4-3 liberal majority remains intact despite Musk's efforts to sway the race.

Musk fueled the high-stakes race, having poured more than $20 million into supporting Schimel, according to state campaign records. That includes $3 million to the state Republican Party—$2 million of which was donated just last week. Due to state election laws, large contributions must be funneled through political parties before reaching candidates.
