Lil Jon Expresses Interest in Being Papa John's Pizza CEO

Papa John's Pizza may have just found its new CEO: rap icon Lil Jon.

After a fan shared a tweet reading, "Now that Papa John isn't the CEO of Papa John's, I think the only valid choice for the next CEO is Lil Jon," the rapper tweeted out ecstatically, "@PapaJohns I WILL HUMBLY ACCEPT THE POSITION AS YOUR NEW CEO. I CAN START IMMEDIATELY."

Original CEO and founder, John Schnatter, announced last week that he will be stepping down in January, less than two months after he made heavily-criticized comments about the NFL national anthem protests. Schnatter slammed the NFL's "poor leadership" for how it was dealing with the protesting, and claiming it was resulting in poor sales for the NFL sponsor as fewer people tuned into games and felt the need to order pizza.

"Like many sponsors, we are in contact with the NFL and once the issue is resolved between the players and the owners, we are optimistic that the NFL’s best years are ahead," Schnatter said. "But good or bad, leadership starts at the top, and this is an example of poor leadership."

That's not to say that Papa John's is really making a huge change when all is said and done. Schnatter will continue to serve as chairman of the board of Papa John's International, and remains its primary shareholder. He'll simply be passing the CEO reins on to Chief Operating Officer Steve Ritchie on January 1.

But perhaps if Lil Jon can gain enough public support in time, we might see our dreams finally come true.

In fact, senior recruiter for Papa John's International, Caroline Smith, even responded:

Twitter got into full daydream mode imagining what a Lil Jon-led Papa John's might look like.

And some of their ideas were on point:

We can dream, right?

Well, the Papa John's Twitter account seemed to be on board with the idea too, so maybe nothing in this world is impossible:

Please SHARE this with your friends and family.

Davis, who spent six days in jail in 2015 for refusing to issue marriage licenses to a gay couple on religious grounds, is appealing a jury’s award of $100,000 in emotional damages and $260,000 in attorneys’ fees.
