The toilet in a vacant Okmulgee, Oklahoma apartment is inspiring new fears and tons of jokes after images of it went viral.
If you just cringed because you assumed someone proverbially "blew up the toilet" ... you're not totally wrong.
Rather than looking at the explosive aftermath of Taco Tuesday, Twitter was left shocked and apalled at the explosive aftermath of ... Thor, apparently.
Lightning struck the bathroom of the vacant apartment, very literally blowing up the toilet.
The pictures were ... impressive/terrifying.
LIGHTNING STRIKE HITS TOILET: Okmulgee crews say they had a bizarre lightning call. They say the lightning came through the vent and struck the toilet, shattering it.

Nobody lives in that unit, but crews tell me they were told it was supposed to be rented out this morning.pic.twitter.com/wYraUnopOW— Brooke Griffin (@Brooke Griffin) 1651763903
Twitter was "struck down" with laughter on this one.
The jokes pretty much write themselves.

Imagine your loved ones explaining your death to people?

He was struck by lightning while taking a shit. Not even the toilet survived.— Madridista Kyreddyrf (@Madridista Kyreddyrf) 1651856076
As funny as the pictures were, lots of people felt the need to point out how legitimately dangerous this scenario actually is.
Lightning and toilets do not mix.
here's your reminder to stay out of the bathroom during an active thunderstorm when the lightning is directly over you. and don't take a shower!!https://twitter.com/brookegrif_tv/status/1522234259297259520 …— antifa of cleves (@antifa of cleves) 1651859001

I am not an expert (at all), but I feel like this shouldn't happen. This was the least resistant path to ground?

It's really neat though.— Liam the Colonizer 🇷🇺 (@Liam the Colonizer 🇷🇺) 1651768198
No one was injured in the strike, but new fears have absolutely been unlocked here for many people.
Will they ever poo fearlessly again?

Now that youve seen the pictures, will you ever poo fearlessly again? That's the real question here.
No word on whether the original tenant who was supposed to take the unit will still be moving in.
