The actor told Conan O'Brien how a confession to masturbating as a teenager ended up being his last.

Liam Neeson admitted he stopped going to confession for good after being scolded for masturbating.

The Retribution action star opened up about his NSFW confession, which was apparently his last, in an interview on an episode from Conan O’Brien’s podcast.

The 71-year-old Irish actor told O'Brien that he was 15 and an amateur boxer at the time of the confession when a highly revered missionary from Africa came to town.

Before attending mass one evening, he recalled going in for what was to become his final confession with the venerated minister.

Said Neeson:

“I had learned how to pleasure myself at home, onto the sheets."
"So I looked up the appropriate word ... masturbate. Masturbation. Okay, that seems harmless enough, I'll say that."

When he revealed his sin during the confessional, Neeson said it elicited a loud response from the appalled missionary that prompted the “old women just outside the confessional” to start “kneeling and saying their prayers.”

Listening to the anecdote left O'Brien in stitches.

Neeson added:

“This guy, literally, I mean, he almost said things like: ‘The grass will grow over the palm of your hand before you’re 21! Stop that evil practice!’”
“He’s shouting this! That was the last time I ever went.”

People had some thoughts.

And as for that irate missionary...

Neeson jokingly said that after the interaction, he laughed but also said his member had reduced in size from shame, to which O'Brien added, "It just shrinks up inside you."

When Neeson confirmed that was his very last confession, O'Brien nodded, saying:

"Yeah, I think that'll do it."
