The former NBA star is under fire after admitting that he bought a life-sized sex doll that resembles his reality TV star ex-wife, even admitting on the We're Out of Time podcast that it's "sick."

Former NBA player Lamar Odom reportedly bought a life-sized doll made to resemble his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian because he "missed her" so much.

Odom, who played for the Los Angeles Lakers, made regular appearances on the reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians after he married into the family in September 2009.

Public suspicion of a troubled marriage due to Odom's repeated infidelity and speculated alcohol and drug abuse was confirmed when Kardashian filed for divorce in 2013, but it wasn't finalized until three years later.

Kardashian said she didn't reconcile with Odom but paused divorce proceedings after he was found unconscious at a legal brothel in Nevada on October 13, 2015. He was placed on life support after suffering several heart attacks, strokes, and kidney failure due to cocaine abuse.

Kardashian filed for divorce again after Odom was on the road to recovery, and it was finalized in December 2016.

In recent years, Odom has expressed not getting over his separation from the media socialite and author of Kardashian Konfidential.

In 2022, he confided in his Celebrity Big Brother housemate Todrick Hall, telling him:

“I dreamt [about] my ex-wife last night.”

Recently, Odom said he purchased a custom-made life-sized sex doll made to resemble his ex.

Social media users found his lingering obsession with his ex-wife disturbing.

In response to all the backlash, Odom downplayed the purchase on the We're Out of Time podcast, explaining that the Kardashian clone would serve as a "mental wellness" tool.

"When you're really thinking about it, [it's] like a doll," the 45-year-old told host Richard Taite.

Odom continued:

"But then you think about like, mental health, and how important that is, not just in today's time, but just from the beginning of time. A sex doll that looks like your wife is about mental health.”

Well, that's one way to look at it.

You can watch a clip of the interview here.

Taite needed confirmation on Odom's response and asked, “A sex doll that looks like your wife is about mental health?"

To which Odom replied:

"It's sick, but I think we're all a little off, a little weird."

Elsewhere in the interview, Odom mentioned he and Kardashian have not been in touch much lately.

"She still cares about me," he said, adding:

"I don't speak to her. I can text her and she'll reply."

When Taite asked if the doll actually "looked like" Kardashian, Odom said, “Yeah, they gon’ make it to look like her.”

Democratic Rep. Says What We're All Thinking About Trump's 'Beyond Insane' Cabinet Picks

Democratic Massachusetts Representative Jim McGovern gave his blunt assessment of President-elect Donald Trump's bizarre Cabinet picks thus far, calling them "beyond insane."

With Trump recently having picked Matt Gaetz (who faces sex trafficking accusations) for attorney general, Tulsi Gabbard (who has ignited concerns due to her ties to Russia) for director of national intelligence, and Pete Hegseth (a Fox News host accused of sexual assault) for secretary of defense, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (an antivaxxer and conspiracy theorist) for secretary of health and human services, Senate Republicans are very much divided on confirming them.
