The singer, who is massive 'Seinfeld' fan, went viral in 2017 after Jerry Seinfeld rejected her hug on the red carpet because he didn't know who she was.

Remember that super cringe moment in 2017 when super-fan Kesha tried to hug Jerry Seinfeld on the red carpet and he completely rejected her?

The moment went viral, Seinfeld claimed he just didn't know who the singer was, yada, yada, yada.

But what we didn't know is that the "Tik Tok" singer considers the event the "saddest moment" of her life.

Kesha recently opened up about the cold encounter on The Best Show with Tom Scharpling, first explaining to the host how much of a Seinfeld fan she was.

The "Your Love Is My Drug" singer revealed she even used to travel with the series DVD set.

“When it got bumpy on planes, I’d pop in ‘Seinfeld’ and I’d be like, ‘Everything’s OK in the world’ and watch my buddy."

The warm and fuzzies didn't last forever, though.

“Then, I get to the f**king charity event.”
“I got really excited because he brings me peace and love and all things good in the universe."
“And then he didn’t hug me in front of cameras."
"It was the most depressing … saddest moment of my life.”

People on social media had no idea the moment affected her so deeply.

But they also defended Seinfeld's reaction, many noting that Kesha didn't respect his boundaries.

Seinfeld did tell his side of the story after the moment went viral.

He explained to Extra:

“I'm 63, I don't know every pop star… I don't know everyone.”

The comedian also revealed he's not much of a hugger, anyway.

“I'm not, well as a total stranger.”

He elaborated on the moment:

“I was right in the middle of an interview, it was a little off.”
“When you get to be my age and you've done a couple things, you have your own reality, in my reality… I don't hug a total stranger."'
"I have to meet someone, say hello. I gotta start somewhere… hug isn't first moment of a human, two humans. I never did that.”

But he did note:

“I'm sure I would've liked her, but I need to know who are you.”

We guess he wasn't aware it was Kesha's "saddest moment" ever, either.
