Katharine McPhee is shutting the haters all the way down.

American singer, songwriter and actress Katharine McPhee and her husband got some heat on Instagram. She had something to say to their critics.

McPhee shot to stardom after being awarded the title of "runner-up" on the fifth season of American Idol.

Recently, her husband David Foster shared a photo of the vocalist on Instagram.

The photo showed McPhee sitting in the grass of the couples' yard in a black bikini.

See the post here:

Foster, in an attempt to compliment his wife's body, captioned the photo, "what baby?"

The caption is in reference to the fact McPhee had birthed their son, Rennie Foster, just a few months prior.

While Foster was trying to compliment his wife, Instagram users had a field day dragging Foster over his caption as well as discussing McPhee's body.

McPhee was outraged by the critics on the post and slammed them with a seething response in her own post.

See it here:

It read:

"I'm sorry but we are not sorry. And for all of you who can't deal with it maybe this helps."
"I've struggled with weight my whole 20s and 30. I've gone up and down 10 times over. Does that make you feel better? There is nothing wrong with that--most people do."

She continued:

"I lost this baby weight without dieting. Zero. Diets are the worst and I've had zero pressure from anyone. I've let me body do its thing and found a great workout. That's it. And guess what? I'll probably gain weight again at some point too. Who cares?"
"BUT people freaking out about what my husband captioned seriously get a life...Stop being so offended by what people post who have zero impact on your life and move on."

She ended with:

"Maybe you should have more of an attitude of like, let's say…'oh that's nice he thinks his wife is hot.'"
"I cannot with this overly sensitive society right now. But as Taylor Swift said haters gonna hate 🤣 byyeeee."

Instagram users are showing their support for McPhee.

In March of 2021, McPhee told E! Magazine she was fearful weight gain from pregnancy would trigger her chronic eating disorder and bulimia.

She said:

"I think that I struggled a little bit with the getting bigger part."
"What I didn't expect was to have the baby and then be so at peace with my body."
"I had this, wow, like this huge appreciation of what my body had just done and given me that I wish that I'd given myself a little bit more of that grace through the pregnancy."
