Jennifer Aniston turned 50 this week, sending shock waves across America.

Yes, yes, everyone gets older, but Aniston is such a staple in American show business that it's hard to believe, having been a household name for more than half her life. (Aniston attained television immortality as Rachel Green on Friends in 1994 at the ripe old age of 25.)

Aniston's 50th birthday party was the talk of Tinseltown, attracting guests like Katy Perry, John Mayer, Orlando Bloom, Ellen DeGeneres, Demi Moore, Reese Witherspoon and––yes––even Brad Pitt, her ex-husband.

Oh, and Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow were there, too, and they broke Aniston's most important rule: No social media.

The two actresses used it anyway, giving us a glimpse into the party.

Fans loved it, by the way.

After Katy Perry jokingly chastised Hudson, telling her, "No social media!" Hudson revealed she'd gotten permission from Aniston ahead of time to post the photos.

Thanks for breaking that social media rule, girl. That party looks like it was a blast.
